You keep forgetting gas prices reached as high as 4.11 a gallon in July 2008 President George Bush Jr. lifted the offshore drilling ban on July 14 2008 gas prices started dropping in August 2008, and drop down to 3.74 a gallon in August 2008, also President George Bush Jr. denied Pelosi's request to open the strategic oil reserve on July 8 2008.

White House spokesperson Tony Fratto said that the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, “is not there to try to market-time and to try to manipulate prices in the market.” Yet he did confusingly acknowledge that, “as long as we keep the sources of oil off the market, we’re not going to see increases in supply…if you don’t increase supply and you only increase demand, prices are going to rise.”

Before July 14 or after Bush open the offshore oil fields? And regardless it still doesn't refute anything I said about the presidents actions or inaction's has an effect on gas prices.

So Bush had to take OIL OUT OF NATIONAL RESERVES to make-up the DIFFERENCE!!!! ... A FACT that was PUBLICLY EXPOSED in early September 2008!!!
