Week 3. Who is your team facing? What is the state of your team?

As for me.

Denver is 2-0, but facing a tug-of-war between head coach Gary Kubiak's ego and Peyton Manning's talent.

When Kubiak takes Manning out of hurry-up, puts him under center, and runs the ball for little to no gain all the time, the Broncos fall behind.

Then, in the Kansas City game, down 14-0, Kubiak obviously got desperate, and let Peyton Manning be Peyton Manning. He let Manning run out of the gun in hurry up, and boom, 3 TD passes in the second half.

Manning is so good at reading defenses, he can flourish even if the defense knows a pass is coming. But, someone needs to tell that to Kubiak, who seems to be too busy pleasuring himself to his "system".

My Lions have lost their first 2 games....I'm so disappointed :(. They did pretty well last year, did really good at starting from behind then coming up and winning! I'll always be a die-hard fan of their, but I'm SO PRAYING things change soon!! They play the Bronco's this week Mr. Friscus!!!!

Sorry.. but the Lions are even worse off than my team. That's not saying much, but only two weeks into the season so I have hope things will pick up.

They did pretty well last year....there were a couple games that they probably should have won if it weren't for the crappy calls!!! They may have made it into the playoffs if it weren't for that. But their first 2 games have been pretty bad! My son is deployed to Africa right now and he has an App that he can watch the games on. He called us on Skype last Sunday before the game was even over, he'd had enough! Lol! So I sat here and gave him a play by play of what was happening....he told me to shut up! LMAO!!

Can't remember what year it was, maybe when Fontes was coaching, they'd be ahead and lose in the last quarter nearly every game. It was disgusting.

Calamity Kubiak

In Houston, Kubiak had a 10-year-plan for a 5-year window.

Achilles

Got to feel sorry for Barry Sanders. He carried the team, but Lions' management never cared about him.

I heard the reason he retired so early....but can't remember why. I'll have to ask my son, he knows ALL about him! They have a new guy that has made some pretty good Barry Sanders moves. They just got to get the ball to him!!

Well, Detroit isn't a walkover. They have some offensive weapons, but overall, my feeling is that if they were going to be "something" with Matthew Stafford and coach, they would've done it by now.

The Broncos look like they actually have a defense this year that fits their talents, unlike last year. They went from the 4-3 to the blitzing 3-4, and thus far Von Miller and Demarcus Ware are on a reign of terror.

Meanwhile, I'll be eagle-eyeing Kubiak's play calling and formations. I'm fine with trying a few Manning-under-center run plays, but if they get stuffed, they shouldn't have to go down 14-0 for Kubiak to get the freakin' memo.

Coming Attraction: The Brokeback Broncos

Schaub himself had a limited window. Once he became over the hill because of his fragility, the Texans went to 2 and 14.
Don't say such things! I'm clinging on to the hope of one more late Playoff run for Peyton Manning.

I do fear it, and with good reason, given Kubiak's record.

However, I'm also very intruged by Denver's defense under Wade Phillips and the 3-4. They've been dominant thus far.

I'm still in shock, but they finally broke the ice, Carol.

I wasn't going to get excited until it was OVER! After watching the U of M/State game on Saturday I wouldn't believe it until they did it....that was PURE LUCK for State!

I'll be honest, that Golden Tate "catch" wasn't a catch at all, based on what has been established in the NFL. Not even close.

But hey, enjoy the feeling of getting away with one ;)

Both games were. I've seen too many times when Detroit should have won, and it slipped out of their hands. Or did they throw it down? As for State, that was an unbelievable ending.

As many times as they've been screwed on calls, I'm ok with it! :)

Yea, I feel for that punter. I'll say this:

- While he bobbled the snap, there sure were a LOT of MSU players there to get that punter and force a fumble after. I know blocking eventually breaks down, but the Michigan line can take some of the blame for the touchdown, not for the initial bobble.

- The media coverage was once again awful. All of these reports came out about "death threats" for this kicker. And what was the source? Random people's twitter posts, saying such things as "Drink Bleach" or something. Now, that's classless, but to represent THAT as a "death threat" on a kicker's life is just downright dishonest. However, the overall media has a long-standing agenda against football, and the overly-masculine mentality. They tried to further dirty it with the fallout of this fluke play.

Personally I think that rule, 'established as a runner' is bull. He was in the end zone, just like Megatron was on another occassion, and as well as that Dallas player, I think it was Bryant, was cheated out of his TD. Where are they going to run to, they're already in the end zone.
