Now, Graham Hancock is an archaeologist (and a stoner)... he's no climatologist. The
Younger Dryas Cold Event was not caused by "dust in the air". There was no dust in the air for 1300 years, that's just crazy. Let's look at it:

So, what I see here is an epoch warming event immediately met by the North American ice sheet being struck by a fractured meteorite. Big time melting, lots of flooding and what happens when ice melts? It absorbs a lot of heat from the atmosphere; hence the cooling. Then, when the ice is all melted it warms back up and another ice sheet breaks off and melts, more flooding, more cooling, and then it warms up again, and then another. From start to finish, I see 7 major flood events over the course of 5000 years, the final one producing the 8200 year cooling event.

That's going to produce a lot of flood myths, dontchathink?

Noah's flood looks like a local flood to me, but it was part of a global flooding event.

Now, about those pyramids. Those were power plants. You put a power plant in the middle of a city to power the city. The pyramids sent an energy beam straight up the center and bounced it off the atmosphere. The energy beam would then return down in a mushroom like enclosure providing energy for all within. Something as big as the pyramids at Giza might have been powering a very large region, a lot more than just a city. Egypt appears to have been an ancient industrial center (before the flood, when most of Europe would have been covered with a 2 mile thick ice sheet) ... pyramids abounded. One of those pyramids exploded. Another one exploded over in Peru. Ancient industrial accidents... imagine the workman's comp lawsuits! BTW, the above ground pyramids are levitating, there has been zero settling for the Great Pyramid's 6 million tons of stone; remember, the pyramids are resonating underground streams, they are all built over top of underground rivers.

The reason Graham says the most important archaeological site on the planet is the crude pyramid built in Indonesia is because it was started inland in reaction to the first flood. It was built slowly over scores of centuries by a civilization ravaged by the inundation of most of their continent. This was an ancient attempt to move the civilization inland. I'm not sure later generations understood what they were building any more or how to finish it. I agree with Graham, it is very important historical knowledge for us to recover... it's a picture window peering into what happened to pyramid technology after the floods.
So what was lost in the floods? Mankind moved inland, but his prior civilization was no doubt along the coasts. So what was lost? Technology. Technology comes from the built up inter-working between the parts of society... over a long period of time. The pyramids were a way of life, the technology to design and build a pyramid is probably the highest achievement of mankind, it likely took tens of thousands of years for mankind to achieve that. Everything is built on the technology that came before, it takes generations upon generations to realize an entire civilization of advanced thought.

Then the floods drowned all that. It was all lost. The earth was not void and totally water covered - as it was in Genesis 1:2 - but the civilization and the technology it spawned was lost. Man started over from scratch, became a hunter gatherer... lived in caves... this was post flood human civilization. Slowly we began to put the pieces back together. The laws came first... how to live like a human, instead of an animal... and eventually society started to function again. When civilization finally came back, the technology started to recover. We are still recovering technology today. And we have a ways to go before we are ready to build a pyramid, we are still figuring out what they are, and how they work, and we have such backward governments still today that they fight against progress; they look into technology that kills man, but they stymie technology that provides a better living for man.

Man has always been taught by the gods. The gods came down and lived amongst us. Now we are arriving at a point where God is going to resurrect humans to come down and live amongst us, and teach us, and heal us. Lead us forward. Hopefully they will be able to get the pyramids working again for us. Beating swords into plowshares = turning our technology from war to peace. Pyramid technology is peaceful technology. And funny enough, there's healing in them as well. It has to be more than a coincidence that we finally are beginning to learn about the pyramids just as the time has come up on the first resurrection of mankind. We are about to enter a thousand year period of peace and healing for the nations, but not before we damn near destroy the species with our warring technology, so we understand that we have to go after the technology that promotes peace and healing, not war.

Now comes the end of human civilization. What does that mean? It means the structure of government and the means by which it rules is ending. Kings rule by fear. Men obey the rule of law for fear of punishment. The law functions only when it is enforced. Lose the fear of enforcement and humans will immediately stop obeying the law and will do whatever they feel like doing. So it is fear of force by the ruler that makes human government work.

In exactly 18 years and 10 1/2 months, all this recent civilization of the past 6000 years is going to come to an end. (Blessed is he that cometh to the 1290th day) In its place, we will see the return of a divine government, the gods will return to rule in our midst and teach us all over again. Only this time, the gods will be resurrected men, so this time will be different.

The stone that is cut out without hands is the same stone in Zechariah that is inscribed by God and has the same seven eyes (beams of light) as the resurrected man standing before the throne with those seven in his hand. So the top stone is by definition a part of the building, a member of the church, but this stone, anointed by God, cut out of the mountain of his holiness, removed from the main church, this stone strikes the whole of civilization and utterly pulverizes it into dust, so that it completely vanishes and is forgotten forever. A whole new way of ruler ship is set up, not by fear and the law, but by love and grace which leads by faith. The same God who was there in the beginning, fluttering over the deep, brooding over the chaos, is there in the end, overcoming our fears, overcoming our confusion, replacing our devotion to greed and slavery with generosity and liberty, washing away the past, teaching us how to go forward.

Look at the last great flood event (#8) :

The event happens around 9000 years ago, this is going to be the great flood, even though it doesn't cool the earth as much as event #2, #4, and #5... take into account how long the cooling lasts (820 years) and you realize this is the mother flow of ice, this was the flood that brought the mean sea level up to where it is, this is the flood that retreated the ice age to the poles, this was - no doubt - a global flood of epoch proportions; which still would have been different in size and duration for localities according to topography and currents, but there is little doubt this flood left the oceans chock full of ice. So this was the flood I think was Noah's flood, especially when you consider the remote location of the Ararat Mountains.

2 years ago, I wrote in my word press blog that this flood happened roughly 9000 years ago ... without ever having looked at the ice core findings. Back then, I reverse engineered the civilizations of the earth and traced back the populations of those civilizations, and then allowed time for hunter/gatherers to organize into farming societies and then build kingdoms, and finally those first empires in Mesopotamia and Egypt; I wasn't thinking as much about Asia and India at the time. At any rate, I calculated the flood at roughly 9000 years ago from that and it matched up with the ice cores perfectly. So I feel pretty solid about that time frame.

If you are talking Southeast Asia or India, the first event 11,400 years ago is going to be the big impact. Also Atlantis, and any other civilization that was sitting right at sea level would have slipped under the waves.

But let's also think about the earth prior to this global warming that popped up 12,500 years. You've got tens of thousands of years, maybe hundreds of thousands of years of recorded cold... the ice age was the normal ... this was the earth mankind was planted on in the first chapters of Genesis. Europe was under ice, Africa was a lush tropical climate... that was normal, that the Africa that colonized the planet. Those people had technology, what's more they had the industry to build ocean going vessels and replant their technology around the globe. Hunter/gatherer man, so-called cavemen, came as a result of the floods that destroyed the earlier technology. So Neanderthal man was likely a business man wearing suits, and if you stop and look hard at those types today, they still look pretty Neanderthal.

So, here we go, a quarter million years ago, an intelligent spieces of man was wiped off the surface of the earth, not a single survivor and not a single word why God did it... maybe it was just an act of nature. Then God built back up the land, repopulated it with plants, animals, and man. Neanderthal man... an intelligent civilization that built technology beyond the point we are at today. Then God seeded Cro-magnon man into their midst, and it seems it was Cro-magnon man that was violent and sinful and killed off the more peaceful Neanderthal man. Then the floods came and wiped out most of cro-magnon man, but traces from earlier civilizations survived and slowly rebuilt until we have an earth full of these raving lunatics ready to destroy the whole planet with nuclear bombs and all kinds of warring technology.

That's why Jesus testified of the world, that it is evil. Because we are evil, it is that simple. Take a look around the planet today, what do you see? War, killing, all kinds of evil. Read these politics and what do you read? Hatred, anger, all kinds of violence. What is the "solution" man reaches to solve his problems? Kill off the enemy. And it holds for politics also, you guys don't want to win the argument, you want to kill off the opposing argument. Persuasion be damned, let's just exile the opposition, totally control the dialogue, win by force. The bible calls that the warring in our members. We are a violent race of mankind. I don't think we are intended as the end product. I hope there is better things coming. My guess is there will be another do-over with mankind. But not before Jesus returns to rule in the midst of this current evil crop of humans... I wonder why he wants to do that?

Take an hour out from life to learn the science, yes I said science, that disproves the religion of evolution...

I'm not arguing the possibility of ancient (and possibly current) civilizations living in the underground. But if they migrated there due to flooding, wouldn't these underground caves and living areas get flooded? Water flows downward.

Would if people lived on the coasts and those low lying cities were flooded? Masses of people moving inland might seek shelter in giant cave structures until they could reappear and rebuild their civilizations. Hence, the myth afterward that their civilization was began by people who emerged from the caverns and caves of the earth. No need to look for these people, the people of the dragon living there today are descendants from the cave dwellers who lived with dragons for a short while. Mean sea level rose 400 feet, look at these caves, the mean sea level never dropped again, the ice age never reformed (yet) - so if these caves aren't flooded today, they weren't flooded back then either.

Time to leave you my take on the whole matter of "spirituality". Unlike the ancient Egyptians, who felt their kings would face a test of difficulty that they needed to pass; or lose the afterlife... and if you weren't pharaoh, don't even think about it, people, this wasn't for the rest of us... my feeling is that resurrection is something performed upon us daily, that we live a spiritual life through simplistic daily living and we are transformed by the same, and the afterlife takes care of itself. IOW, daily life is the real test we face, and spirituality is as simple as humility and submission to God in our everyday world down here; and that God is more interested in growing that spiritual nature inside us than he is in resurrecting the line of kings that stretched back to Osirus. I see no need to reconcile the entire spiritual realm to some doctrine or dogma or individual... my understanding is that there is just one spirit of which we all partake, I like to call it the spirit of life, and that all living things are connected to and spring from that spirit; hence, God is all in all, the whole of any and every thing alive. There is a diversity to life that is beyond description, and on so many different levels, organic, biological, mental, emotional, philosophical, scientific, metaphysical, cultural, language, music, the arts, industrial, recreational, on and on... in war and peace, in love and hate, in kindness and cruelty, in lore and history, in solitude and reason... life has as many splendors and subtleties as light has colors and hues. In my simplistic understanding, a spiritual life consists of walking humbly with the spirit that brought all this life and letting him guide you through your particular passage, where ever that leads you and whatever that consists of. To my understanding, the spirit is all about life and living the present gift we have been given and growing in the same through connecting with God and attending to his presence and work inside you. If you receive any instruction, follow it, otherwise, wait on his inner presence and walk in his ways; faith is a fire that lights our path, we receive his renewal daily, resurrection is a rebirth we receive in this life and live through it, all the days we spend here; that to me is spirituality; not meditation to reach some higher plane, not shamanistic projections or stepping through veils into feats of power, not astral incarnations or harmonizing our focus on spirit points in our body... not learning to wield a light sabre and slaying fire breathing dragons, or moving mountains through the voice of a god... like I said, if you learn to recognize the voice of the most high God, then just follow his instruction when he gives it, otherwise don't seek power or great things, simply walk in the faith of his abiding spirit and serve him humbly through the daily life he gives you, where ever and how ever he performs it.

That said, this lecture is essential to seeing the different phases civilization passed through...

You are reading it in period, the only way ancient texts should be read. Genesis begins with Adam and runs fast to Abraham, then slows down and covers his whole life, and his children's lives, ending with Joseph. Abraham was the father of faith, specifically, he was the father of faith in this particular most high God that later made three covenants with his children: the Law of Moses, the Grace of Jesus Christ, and Islam. So it is the story of God's latest do-over. I'm not sure he got it right this time either, but these are the times we live in and this is the grace we have been extended. In the apocalypse, it says there will be yet another do-over.

...you can see why the denominations all hated me.

But hey, I try to make the most sense of the text I can. Gen 1:28 clearly says "replenish" ... so it is a do-over. The 7 days of creation are just a fast recap of the do-over. The text clearly tells you that mankind had been upon the earth before and was wiped out, now the land is restored and man is created upon it again, for why? ... to replenish the earth. Replenish the earth with what? ... with man. Once I saw the picture that created, I started writing this.
Islam? No, I don't think so.

So Let's return to the potter's house. Now, sure, you can say that God reuses his spirits, that we are reincarnated over and over until we learn some incredibly hidden secret that life and death can't discern until it has many a desperate quest for it's hidden meaning... but I'm not buying it. I don't think God is so twisted, and I don't think life is a riddle, I think God is providing life and his joy is to be a part of it. As such, I think the lesson in the potters house was not individual salvation or individual perfection, but the creation of civilizations and the richness of life they support. Sure, pharaoh owned all the best land alongside the Nile and the average Egyptian lived with more bureaucracy than we do in modern America, but it was a rich life, nonetheless. And sure, the Law of Moses was tribal law and limited in scope to small farming communities, but it was a rich law for simple farmers and it gave birth to prophets and men of learning where there was none.

When I see a king having his heart measured against a feather, I think of light-hearted government, I think of God molding the clay, perfecting the life he is providing through civilization. Why was there 40 commandments for the king to follow? ... while individuals were only given 10? Because the king's commandments were for his ruling, the life he was providing to his whole kingdom. To whom much is given, much is expected. Never forget that Moses was a prince of Egypt, and fear and tremble when you are asked to become a king and/or a priest, because your words and actions will affect the lives of many, and your spirit will shape the life God gives to those currently on the planet. The resurrection of Christ is for the chosen souls who will return and govern here on earth... this cycle repeats itself over and over, our future is guided by our past, the potter's techniques are repeated over and over with each new civilization.

Islam? No, I don't think so.
Goodness, the 3 faiths of monotheism. Yes, they all worship the God of Abraham.

Ezekiel prophesied that God would grant a covenant of peace to the 12 tribes of Ishmael. Jesus also said he had yet to recover the other flock of Abraham. Abraham had two sons; Ishmael, his first born, and Isaac. Both were sent a prophet and given a covenant of laws to govern their living; Islam is the same word as Salem or shalome... it means peace. For the rest of us, a prophet was sent with a covenant of grace, which we are still trying to understand. A common thread that runs through all three covenants is to obey God and follow his speaking.

This is a broadly misunderstood item of the faith, what is the difference between a covenant and a religion? Egyptian system was religion. Zoroastrianism is religion. Hinduism is a religion. Islam is a covenant. The Torah was a covenant. Christian discipleship is a covenant. Catholic faith is a religion built upon Roman system of worship. Modern Jewish faith is a religion built upon Babylonian system of worship.

Religion is a system of practice. It is a construct set up to execute rules for the desired effect on human life. Religion pays homage to God, but doesn't necessarily require God to be part of it's program. Religion is like the US Navy, it is a program unto itself, it functions as long as human effort, funding and toil is poured into it.

Covenants, OTOH, are agreements between two parties; they are carried out in connection to the combined operation of the two parties. If you abide in one of God's covenants, you are working side by side with God and others in the same covenant. Covenants are like alliances between two nations; it is agreed upon behavior and allegiance between the two parties and it is effectively carried out or it is dropped, but it is a course of mutual destiny between two parties, in essence it is a pact that has no meaning unless both parties are totally devoted to each other and to upholding their alliance through thick and thin.

Now, if God made a covenant with Abraham's sons, that covenant is not a religion that anyone can join. Only Abraham's sons can join that covenant. If the sons of Togarmah want to join a covenant with God, they have exactly one way to do that; through the Lord Jesus Christ. Otherwise, they are practicing a religion unto themselves that God has no part of. The same holds true for the common faith of angel worship worldwide (the Catholic faith) ... unless they join covenant with God through receiving his Son Jesus, they are practicing a religion unto themselves that God has no part of. Hindu faith goes back long before Islam, Christ, or the Torah... so it has its own relationship with God according as God participates in that religion. It doesn't seek to enter a back door into covenant with God, it practices an ancient religion with its own precepts and devotions and only God can judge what measure of his holy spirit he sprinkles into that religion.

Americans tend to misunderstand that Islam is a covenant, not a religion. Anyone can do anything they want in the name of Islam, just as anyone can do anything they want in the name of Jesus Christ... but God will judge between the faithful and the false brethren. Nothing man does can dis-annul the covenants that God has ordained. Terrorism practiced in the name of Islam is no different than the genocides practiced in the name of Christ, neither fulfills the intentions of their covenant, nor can either take away the covenants in place. Just as many a false Christ has risen up and diverted away men to follow them, but none have any power to replace the finished work of Christ in heaven.

I hope that helps?

So what was lost in the floods? Mankind moved inland, but his prior civilization was no doubt along the coasts. So what was lost? Technology. Technology comes from the built up inter-working between the parts of society... over a long period of time. The pyramids were a way of life, the technology to design and build a pyramid is probably the highest achievement of mankind, it likely took tens of thousands of years for mankind to achieve that. Everything is built on the technology that came before, it takes generations upon generations to realize an entire civilization of advanced thought.

So, remember, we beat our swords into plowshares... that means we hammer away at the technology and construction of the Gerald R Ford class carriers until we transform both into something that feeds mankind. This new class of carriers should live most of their lifetimes in the coming kingdom, so when I look at this huge warship built with 3 times the electric power generation as the Nimitz class carriers, I think; hmmmmmm, compartments for future technology, eh? How can I use that?

more about mankind's plunge into darkness and emergence from that technological darkness; notice these flood events happened in stages...

Okay, so let's recap...

A God with no beginning or end did not create the universe, he created life in the universe, which is the same as saying, he exists in this universe. The universe also has no beginning or end, the starts are born, they live, they die, the material is ripped apart, reforms, and another star is born... it is like plant life, it never ends. Space, time, and stars are infinite, they have no beginning and no end. Man, however, was created.

The next big thing is land, water, air and fire... it makes for quite a combustion of life. How many times did God wipe out man with a global flood? I'm guessing a lot. After the last big flood, which I figure was global scale flood #7 in that 9000-12,000 year ago epoch of time, God promises no more floods. To a modern Bible reader, that seemed to come out of nowhere, why did God promise us no more floods? It isn't as though we remember all those times he wiped out civilization with a flood, but back then, when he did flood #7, it was quite a promise. And for the record, I've been chasing rainbows all my life and I can tell you, they are like leprechauns, they appear and disappear in the most random erratic manner, there's more to it than just the science of light bending in water vapor.

So, we have this global flood covering the whole planet; that's very easy to do, just level the earth's surface and you have 1 1/2 miles of water covering all of it. Then we clear up the sky above and bring up land, and replant everything, and add in mankind - again - and I think this has been going on for a billion years. Every time God flooded the planet it created fossils, so this Genesis 1:2 flood would have left fossils everywhere, even on mountain tops, no need for Noah's flood to have done that.

Now, we have two creations of mankind. First, comes a very intelligent creation (Neanderthal) and he has a very good spirit in him, no problems with this guy, he is industrious and doesn't wage war, life must have been good; and it lasted a 1000 years. My guess is we did see some incredible tree growth as well. But then we get Adamic man, and he is nothing but evil and religious. My guess is, Adamic man killed off Neanderthal man, I can't imagine Adamic man not doing so, given his nature is to war constantly and kill, kill, kill.

Then came the floods when the ice age melted, civilization went into the dark age of survival and instinct... and God sent this serpent and fallen angels to plant all kinds of religion into Adamic man. Religion stomps out the light, it thrives in darkness and seeks to maintain the darkness. Technology suffers. Civilization sputters and backfires. We are still seeing all of that. Hopefully a new dynamic will take over soon, wherein God will revisit us again, but next time with much better spirits, we need to erase all this war, fighting, religion, and darkness. That's what the resurrection is supposed to do. Blessed is he that comes to the 1290th day; figure the saints spend a month taking over the planet; you have to do it slow enough for the people to realize it is happening. Ask me what month and year that is, when the kingdom of Christ begins to reign over all the earth... cuz, I know it, I've known if for over 30 years... October 2035.

The "catholic" or common faith, known throughout the world (world wide) that grew up from the early mystic times of the post flood darkness is sun worship. This religion worships gods and goddesses, also known as angels, contained in astrological or heavenly houses, and dispersed into the earth by fire, which is the common faith of that worship.

The same elements of the astral faith are found in the indigenous peoples throughout the world. That's why ST Paul when he wrote to the Romans that he thanked God that their common (catholic) faith was spoken of throughout the world; this was not the faith of Christ that came as a fire within that fire, but was the common faith already burning throughout the planet from the post flood darkness that swallowed up civilization, even as the flood waters swallowed up the technology of that civilization.

Inserted within this common faith, and intermingled with it, was the monotheistic faith of Abraham... which burned like a fire within a fire, and spread like a wheel within a wheel. Jesus then came within that inner faith, to spread a new fire within it. This was the anointing or Christ that we receive inside us, to slowly spread and transform our being into the Christ that is passed as a fire between each believer. Outwardly, the testimony of the prophets, which is an anointing that rests upon the believer, was the monotheistic faith inserted within the old common worldwide faith, and rests with the 3 prophets of monotheism; Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed. But inwardly, that same anointing is planted inside every believer, where there burns a fire only given through Jesus, that changes the Adamic nature into the heavenly nature of the risen Christ.

So it is, that to enter this inner kingdom, you must be born again through the anointing of Jesus, because no other name is given whereby we must be born again to enter this faith. This seed of Christ, which was planted in Mary, is planted in every believer as a germ of the risen Christ, and it grows up inside us, transforming our nature into his nature, which is the ruling of his deity, hence, the kingdom of God is inside us, and it carries with it the hope that we will be transformed into Christ... the hope of glory. So, the seed has this expectation of faith, to transform our nature into the heavenly nature of Christ, until we mature into full grown Christians and display the nature of the holy spirit planted inside us; felt as grace and love... which is the fruit of the Spirit; the nature of Christ coming from inside us.

Science is waging war against religion on this planet... by that I mean that the true history of mankind is arguing back against the dark age religious constructs that are currently entrenched. We have now found what are undoubtedly man made bunkers on a mountain top in southern Egypt that will completely belong to pre-flood times...

Huge Underground Labrynth in Hawara Holds Key to Ancient Egypt Secrets

... when you go back far enough in ancient Egypt, there are no Sphinx in Egypt; the sphinxs are what the post flood Egyptians carved out of their pre-flood God, Anubis. The great Sphinx is the ancient temple of Anubis. Anubis was supposed to protect the Egyptians from catastrophe, so I guess they got rid of Anubis. Egyptology wants to pretend that everything in Egypt is no older than 6000 years, as if mankind didn't exist before that. Today we date the global floods at twice that old and Egyptian pyramids were power plants before the floods. The recent history that Egyptology is fixated on is actually a return from the floods; and that return came from Nubia; from higher land.

Nothing has done more for the archaeologist fight against religious dogma than the science of geology. Geology and the ice cores has given us a precise timeline of when the ice age melted. This understanding was accelerated by the technology of satellite mapping - internet communications, and most recently by the economic access to expensive aerial views afforded by small drones with cameras. Result: rubber meets the road geologic evidence of the melting ice cap in North America that is providing us with a clear picture of what happened and when it happened...

Plate tectonics tell us that India took 70 million to 100 million years to separate from pangea and slam into the Asian subcontinent...

Formation of Himalayas HD

However, there's a couple million wooley mammoths who were quick frozen in Siberia 10,000 years ago - with tropical plants in their mouths and stomachs - that tell us this event must have happened much faster; as in, a matter of minutes, not tens of millions of years. I see no other event that could have pushed the Asian tectonic plate north at a radical speed, fast enough to have flash frozen the whole of Siberia.

Were these continents in radically different locations? We have maps of Antarctica that were made from recent time periods and it stands to reason the "continent" was not under ice when they made the maps. Siberia was in the tropics. If something caused the plates to shift at high speed, everything would have moved around, pangea could have flown apart and the pieces slid all over the globe. Something like this happened, you don't get the flood of Noah from a bunch of melting ice, something had to break up the ice and push a whole lot of water... fast. Could Noah's flood be the after effect of a tectonic plate shift?

From 12,000 years ago to 9000 years ago, the earth went through seismic climate change. What caused it? Some kind of massive meteor strike hit North America 11,700 years ago. There are some enormous craters that geologists attribute to other type events; but regardless of what caused the craters; could a tectonic shift have resulted? Would if some type of event that left no trace in the bedrock vaulted the plates around? Who's to say that an ocean with a 7 mile deep trench running north to south isn't testifying to just such an event? What caused the Mairaina trench? Our oceans average 2 miles deep, while the crust is 50 miles deep, but there is this oil slick 5-7 miles deep that the trench might have pushed the suface of the plates around on... like shuffleboard disks.

10,000 years ago, Siberia slid from tropical regions to near arctic region in a matter of minutes. Antarctica moved from ice free to the south pole location. 9000 years ago Noah's flood lasted for 150 days and when the insanity finally ended, mean sea level had risen 400 feet. Civilization went into darkness, technology was lost, the mechanisms of civilization were lost, and history went through a re-boot.

How this all happened? No one knows, but it must have happened... 2 million flash frozen mammoths 10,000 years old... there's not a whole lot of ways for that to happen.

Whether the reboot took millions of years or a few minutes, there definitely was a reboot. Who knows what kind of civilization existed before the reboot. Think about it. We have very nearly gone completely digital. Most of our information is in the "cloud". If there was some cataclysmic event, everything on paper would be either dissolved by water or burned by fire. And whatever is in the cloud stays in the cloud. If by any chance some thumb drive is found, there would be no way to see what was on that thumb drive.

My thought is that it is almost time for another reboot. When we start killing our babies before and soon after their birth, when we start telling our children they can choose their gender, when we start genetically altering the food we eat, when we force people to give their hard-earned money to the government or to someone who hasn't worked for it.......... we have already reached the near-bottom of that slippery slope into the unreedemable cesspool that needs a reboot.

Will it happen in our lifetime? I don't know........... but that wouldn't be too soon.

the reason I concentrated on the Mammoths is because they are preserved; flesh and all. they still have hair on their hides, they still have blood... imagine that, intact body fluids... these carcasses are definitely not more than 10,000 years old. DNA aging is pretty accurate for recent samples. When they are trying to extract bone marrow from a 100,000 year old skeleton - that's going to be a lot tougher to get accurate results - but these mammoths are definitely 10,000 years old and they are all over Siberia. These were tropical mammals, flash frozen and preserved... so they remained frozen. There's only one way to do that for a region as large as Siberia; the entire continent must have been pushed north in a matter of minutes.

So we know the time period when the re-boot happened. We don't know what happened or why it happened (obviously, God was pissed off and hell, it looks like all the gods were in on it) ... but we do know when it happened.

A lot more fuzzy is when and what is happening in the first verses of Genesis. Genesis does not mean "creation" ... it means "beginning". In the Bible "creation" refers to us creatures, people tend to trip over Genesis 1:1, but all it is doing is recapping that the earth and heavens were already created and now we are starting a new epoch of time... and the earth was empty and without form (no land poking up) and waters were covering the planet. So that's where it starts, where it begins. When was that? Not sure, might have been a million years ago, might have been a billion years ago... the point is, it started from there, Genesis is a story that becomes a history of Abraham, but it starts out a story.

Yes. Genesis starts that particular saga that we are a part of and that saga has lasted, what? 5000 years give or take a couple thousand years?

The questions are these:
Is there a set time for each Saga?
or
Does God just kill everything and start over when things get too terrible to deal with?

Either way........and especially if it's done when things just get out of hand........ it should be happening soon. If I were God.........I'd have done it when abortion became easy enough to do that millions of not-yet-born babies were killed. But God is patient if nothing else.

So we have written history that trails back 5000-6000 years, mostly thanks to Sumerian tablets. Scrolls had to be copied, because they just disappear in short order; humans in their present condition seem incapable of maintaining a library without it burning down... so scrolls vanish in short order. In either case, what we have to go on - for the way distant past - is copies of copies and the retelling of stories (myths) coupled with the sciences. Genesis chapters 1-5 is a story, handed down from ages past... no one has any idea where it came from, but it was told over and over throughout the earth, of course it changes from place to place and in their times and culture, but the story is there, and what it tells us is civilization was planted long ago... long, long ago (ever notice that the made up story STAR WARS happens "long, long ago"?) ... Genesis 1:1 could easily have been a billion years ago, and remember, it was a re-boot, it was a do-over; God tells man to "replenish" the earth. No way to tell the timing for the larger saga of our existence, or whatever happened in the way-ancient past... what that life consisted of, what religion, culture, technology might have existed, but whatever was there, it was there for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years... it stands to reason technology was beyond our scope of understanding.

This much seems clear, in this mini re-boot; 9000-12,000 years, man's life changed as dramatically as his climate changed. We went from a 1000 year animal to a 100 year animal. So we got stupid, it's really that simple, life is far too short to accrue and pass on intelligence in such short life spans. The moment we start to open our eyes to what exists and what is happening... poof!, we are gone before we have time to even share our beginnings to understand. 100 years is not enough time to grow up, let alone become wise. Noah was 600 years old when he built God an ark, God merely gives Noah the dimensions to build, Noah took it from there, we can't begin to fathom how Noah did it, but the task was undaunting to Noah, he didn't seem to have any problem building it... he knew what to do and how to do it; he had already lived half a millenium in an age of ridiculously high technology (compared to ours today) ... knocking out an ark was no sweat.

I don't think our existence is as simple as waiting for our sins to accumulate then wiping out the whole sha-bang and starting over. I hope not. At the same time, there does seem to be a pattern of that. We might not understand what God is really doing, in our pathetic state, we cling to our guns and our bibles, we don't see the big picture, we mostly live in fear for our short lives, then we die anyway. God doesn't try to give us too much understanding, but he does give us rainbows, something to cling to when we are scared, which seems to be most of our short lives... fear is of the unknown, and we just don't know very much, so we live in fear. You look at jesus' message and he doesn't bother to explain what he's doing with us, he spoke mostly in rhymes and parables, but he gives us what we need the most; the courage to believe and the faith to face our lives... I think the one thing he said the most was, "fear not". When you only live to 100 years old, you die still a small child compared to what was likely a normal lifetime for mankind for millions of years. It seems, the most intelligent achievement we have ever been capable of, which is, simply keeping the faith, here we are; just vessels, but this fire on our altar is awesome, we have the holy spirit onboard, and he blows away anything man has ever done, so we are small children entrusted with this incredible faith, that none of us understand, but it is awesome that the fire resides inside us... and that seems to be a new thing, something the way more powerful super ancients didn't have, God would visit them, but this indwelling spirit, this is a new thing, and if you ask me, it blows away being wise enough to build an ark on short notice.

I would like to have the veil that separates us from more knowledge to become a little thinner as I age so that I can see more from this side of it.

What you've said here puts words to what I've thought for practically all my life.
