News media struggling to keep up, calls chaos because they are tired and lost the election

I have been watching MSNBC and CNN since Trump was elected. I have yet to hear anything about him that wasn't denigrating or negative speculation. I don't call that "news", I call it political bashing. THAT is why their product is being called "fake news" and why Americans don't trust the media.

thats part of the "they just dont get it" thingy...

:D

they think they represent the majority,,but dont have a clue what that means...
example:
progs swear 52% is a minority...

Rebuild With Biden!
There is no vision to unify. He has a couple lines per speech about bringing everyone together then he falls back into the campaign and the states and people that helped him win.

The only thing he might do across party lines is help the inner cities and infrastructure. But those are yuuuge projects so he may get in there and find out its almost unfixable in the time he has.
We can expect all things to be done Trump's 'way'... his campaign theme song of old.
Trump talks the unity talk, but in reality his well known unpredictable/undependable/vindictive behavior will be part of why he won't follow through.

His true colors were on display during the election campaign. He was insulting to races/many religions, law enforcement, etc. during the election campaign. Anybody, regardless of status, those disagreeing with Trump will be insulted, count on it. Economic disparity also drives people apart. This is one of the reasons why we are seeing so many protest marches nowadays. imo

It's obvious that Democrats do NOT want America unified.
It was obvious during President Obama's terms in office which party was truly wanting to keep America divided.
Their ugly behavior is why we now have someone like Trump as president.

You're entitled to your opinions. That's not the way I see it at all. Trying to get Trump to accept responsibility for his actions instead of blaming others is not speculation.

Pointing this out to the public is their responsibility as journalist and it is not fake news. imo

Obama couldn't have been any more class divisive and racially divisive than what he was, so I agree.

Three observations about Trump and the presser...

1) He's somewhat of a prize fighter who seeks out the opponent's weakness. Knowing public perception of the media is in the basement, he eggs them on and their reaction only furthers the perception. This falls under "they still don't get it". They still don't realize that berating, laughing, and attacking him for 18 months did not work and only served to propel him forward because of that very public perception of media long before Trump even came on the scene. What's that phrase..."hoisted on their own petard"?

Likewise he knew the public opinion on illegal immigration and the fact that his two most formidable opponents in the primaries were Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio who were leaning toward amnesty. He had found their soft spot and correctly suspected they would react negatively owing to Bush's Mexican wife and Rubio's Cuban ancestry. They did, and it didn't help that in responding they tried to twist his remarks so as to suggest he was 100% anti-Hispanic. Dumb, really dumb on their part and the media who ran with it. Jeb and Marco were toast after the 1st debate.

2) I'll grant he talks too much about a "landslide" victory. There indeed have been wider margins of victory. What he should be talking about is his "upset" victory that probably eclipses Truman's over Dewey nearly 70 years ago.

3) Is he diplomatic....hell no! Was Lyndon Johnson diplomatic? Harry Truman? We don't need no stinkin' diplomat other than the Secretary of State. He or she can play patty cake and schmooze with whoever they want that's their job. The Chief Executive's job is to get things done. Trump is brusque and blunt like your typical New York alpha male who gets thing done, and he is doing it everyday which is exactly what pisses some people off.

That doesn't mean he's incapable of being pleasant and generous to those who deserve it....which excludes the press and dozens of do nothing politicians and bureaucrats in both parties.

The news media is exhausted. Trump does 1 or 2 of his campaign promises or less per day and the media who is so pissed they lost and were wrong about the election can't keep up with the changes so they call "chaos" and bad messaging by the White House.

When you step back and look almost nothing new has been done but the media who has been sadly belittled by our president who should never do that, is so tired that they call it chaos just because they can't keep up.

Whether you agree with what he is doing or not, you have to say he is treating it like a business and trying to get things done.

Lets be honest his press conferences are pathetic, unpresidential and a lot of fluff. But he is right that CNN spends their whole day absolutely hating on him and if the Russian story is not true then they did spend a week now on fake news. CNN only had 1 out of 7 pundits after the news conference from the "right". Trump is hard to follow and understand when he speaks. You need at least half the panel to be from the right just to interpret what Trump said. So without that viewpoint CNN just sits there and speculates on what they think Trump said and speculate based on a far left bend. It is very entertaining.

So to summarize:
- Trump is terrible at press conferences, you have to interpret what he is trying to say, but kudos to him for taking all those questions and hammering CNN for their 100% 24/7 negativity.

- Trump haters will never ever like Trumps style which is smug business rich guy with poor speaking skills. Middle America probably won't get used to it either. Only Trump supporters like the style. Obama used to hate on Fox news regularly (of course Obama did it with class).

But the media calling the white house chaos because they have to work overtime to keep up with what a politician should do which is work on behalf of the people is just pathetic.
This country isn't any more divided than it was under Obama. The MSM just can't stand it because the other side of that divide is now in charge.

Scribbling Swamp Creatures

A Hasidic reporter asked why there has been an increase in anti-semitic incidents since Trump got elected. Doesn't that sound like he accused Trump supporters of causing them? The Utra-Orthodox are exempt from having to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, so they have no right to speak for Jews. My own chaplain not only visited us on the front lines, but was later paralyzed for life when he took a bullet out there with the Colonel's entourage on a Search and Destroy operation.

The slippery media spin it like it didn't imply anything against Trump. It's really the jurinalists who are careless about what they say. They are so sure of their objectivity that they expose what they are really thinking. Never before did they have to suffer the consequences for their subtle and subliminal innuendoes.

I think Middle America, whatever the meaning, appreciates Trump far more than a Jeb Bush, Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton, who would be giving the same speeches from the same lobbied positions with the same flow of power and influence occurring from the same globalized countries and powers.

Trump is an idiot. But the media is dumber still. It's hilarious watching the media gobble up his schtick
