the poster limits who can view their profile? I can not view their profile so I can not use that page to put the poster on ignore, now how do I do it?
When you get a reply alert, look to see which poster replied before you click on it. I do that also.

That's how I do it.
I click on their Avatar on a post they make, then when the window pops up, just click on "ignore". On our main profile page you just select the tab that shows "People on Ignore" and uncheck their name if you want to stop ignoring them. I'm not sure why anyone has a problem figuring this out.

I don't like putting anyone on ignore because of the gaps it can make in threads. I just simply don't open their threads or replies to me.

That's what I do too....now. At the beginning I had ignored a couple people, for a short time. But then I found out I'm missing out on too much entertainment and wanted to see what was being said :)

You can put a poster on ignore without going to their profile page, @Days. Just click on their name in the box to the left of one of their posts. A small box will pop up in the center of your screen. Within that box (over on the right side) is the word "ignore". Just click on it there and you won't see their posts anymore unless those posts are quoted by someone else....

I put people on ignore for short periods of time if they are harassing me or if I want to end a conversation they seem determined to continue. After they've got it out of their system - in a few hours or a day - I can bring them back. I don't like the gaps in a thread produced by the ignore either, but sometimes a time out is necessary.

Well, we know there's at least a couple here that will ALWAYS remember the conversation and WILL bring it up again...over and over and over. Some just can't let something go!

Stepping right over the steaming piles still works pretty good.
