Why do so many want another civil war in our country?

The dividing lines are so deep and keep getting deeper. Violent 'protests' seem to be applauded rather than disparaged and criminally prosecuted. It seems like things said against Prez Trump are OK no matter how inflammatory they may be. People just shrug and say it's the American way.

People can debate differences of opinion but resorting to physically fighting each other as is happening more often is not acceptable at all. People seem to be encouraged to pick a side. There is no compromise with the other side which is what we should have. This or that and nothing else will do. People won't even listen to other possibilities.

A lot of people don't like Trump and that's OK. It doesn't matter whoever gets elected there will be large numbers of people who will not like the results. The answer is to set about using the very tools that we have to manage the change that we desire instead of trying to hurt anybody who disagrees with us.

People are just becoming so frustrated with their lives that they seem to crave some violence as an outlet. They don't seem to realize what that violence will be like when it's in their own laps.

top 10 reasons people look forward to civil war in America

10 - they've never seen a real war or casualties

9 - they know how to drive to Canada if it came to that, and assume they'd be welcomed

8 - they assume that facebook, cable, cellular, electricity and water still be operating

7 - they think they are safe because they have "a gun". they don't realize that armed gangs will go door to door demanding guns, and kill you on the spot if you fail to comply.

6 - they don't have daughters. or if they do, they assume "local militias" will protect their daughters rather than abduct them for their own pleasure.

5 - they assume they will be among the first looters to arrive at the supermarket, before it's stripped bare, and imagine they can carry in one trip everything they need for the duration.

4 - okay - let's hunt ducks and deer and rabbits for food then. But what will we eat on day 3 if everyone else has the same idea? Oh - that's right. dogs and cats. day 5?

3 - remember, the banks will be closed. the atms empty. credit cards won't work. paper currency will be overwhelmed with counterfeit substitutes. if someone believes you have gold or silver coins on you, you're likely to be shot instantly.

2 - check whats in your pantry. make a list of everything you'd be willing to eat raw/uncooked.

1 - they assume 'our side" is going to win, because they live insular lives surrounded by people with their same political views, so they assume they are in the vast majority. they've never heard of forced conscription by local 'strongmen" into local self protection militias.

I honestly just think it would have been best to divide up the country back at the civil war and let the western states decide who they would align with and be done. We have done little other than have strife and anger since. And, in the end we are too divided to continue as we are. IF we were more of a federation rather than what we have.. maybe. But the Fed Gov't is continually being more powerful and having more to say in the daily lives of people and that was NEVER what this country was intended- for good reason because ultimately anything that requires people with such regionally different cultures to come together on anything other than national defense and shared currency, is too much togetherness and not enough respect for individual traditions and heritages to work.

I would not be surprised in my lifetime and certainly within my children's lifetimes to see a major civil war in this country.

It's a classic example of people not knowing what they're asking for. Most of them don't even seem to realize that they are asking for it.

Unfortunately the signs are not good.

I also think that Trump was revolting for encouraging violence at his rallies.

The Left didn't get their way and they are pissed. There is a mindset that is thrilled by acting out, tantrum throwing, and violence. That takes their minds off of the losers that they are - their own abject laziness and inability to create a good and wholesome life for themselves.

They prefer to conjure up diseases (mental, sexual, gender-related, substance-related) and other people (rich, white, privileged) who have ruined their life and to whom their victimhood is blamed.

When Obama was elected, quite a few people didn't agree with his weakness and protective stances toward terrorism, his racist-mindedness, his America-hating agenda, but those people weren't the kind who felt violence was the answer. They sought legal means of thwarting Obama's terrible agenda.

Those on the Left think violence first. So that's where it's going now and although I thought maybe Trump would be able to turn it around, I am now thinking that the Left is just too barbaric, uncivilized and, (frankly) just too stupid to turn around and find a better way.

I don't doubt it. You barbaric butt-wipe-with-hand types intend to trash it until it's not fit to live here. That's what you want. Your two talents in life are trashing stuff and taking what belongs to someone else. Good luck with that.

But about a Civil War...
It would be horrible and tragic.

But I have faith and know whatever happens is already in the book of lambs and we just have to have the courage to live it.

Additionally I could take care of me and mine for an extended period of time and remote enough to be realitively safe from gangs and the like.

If in fact the property was penetrated it would be very exciting for the visitors.

Do you want to know why? the following posts are examples of why it's inevitable. We had too much division when obama was in office.

Because Trump voters would rather kill everyone else before they'd admit; they got took by a con man.

Excessive pride and vanity is an terrible thing to saddle yourself with.

Naaa
You guys are looking for the violence. But not sure you want to see what comes in response.

I don't blame you.

Only a fool wants a bunch of angry violent determined men to show up heavily armed and resolved to eliminate the threat.

And that is what we have to know............. if we're going down..... it is already in the book.
I don't have the courage alone, but I'm not alone.

In my stronger moments, I see it as an amazing storm. The outcome will be even more amazing if we live to see it.

It is just the opposite.
Trump voters want peace.
It's those who lost to Trump who are pushing the world into violence.
