So you make Medicad expansion opt out for states. Then you slash Fed funding for Medicad expansion

I guess Republican don't think people need healthcare because most people decent would be sick to their stomachs after screwing people over like this. But apparently they're fine with it.

But they sure found out how to save little bit of money ( WHICH THEY WILL ALSO GIVE BACK IN TAX CUTS TO THE VON TRUMP FAMILY IN THEIR TAX REFORM PLAN) after taking $ 1.1 Trillion from the poor and lower middle class.

Nation's billionaires: Mmmmm...Tax cuts!

;-)
I image McConnell and Ryan as two waiters with a tray full of delicacies held out before them, I'll take one of your delightful capital gains canopies and an inheritance tax finger sandwich. And when you pour the vintage income inequality wine, make sure to let a little bit it trickle down on the little people.

But not too much! We mustn't waste it!

The truth is that Obamacare is a disaster. As will this clusterfuck be! We need single-payer healthcare, and we need it now!

We sure could use it now. But you know the GOP would never approve it. It makes too much sense.

So, here we are in the real world. Should we fix the flaws in the ACA?

There is no 'fixing' it. It's crap. So is the GOP 'answer'. Either we have single-payer or we revert back to pre-Obamacare.

Of course it can be fixed. It's irrational to claim you want single payer but would prefer pre-ACA to post-ACA.

Tell me what ACA issue you want to squawk about and I'll tell you how to fix it.

Agreed that both ACA and this latest government-stooge iteration are trash. Disagreed that government should take a determinative role in funding healthcare.

So when people are sick or injured, and they have neither insurance nor money, should we just let them die?

  • Who comprises "we"
  • Why is there the presumptive posture that, if the state is not the action agent, agency doesn't exist?
  • Why do you pay no mind to current failure by government address?
Think hard on this stuff. You seem to be contained in a box.

Forget it. You're simply incapable of answering real world, pragmatic questions. All you can do is spew stale ideological claptrap. The rest of us live in the real world, and if people require health care to live, and they have neither insurance nor money, a decision must be made as to what to do. You refuse to say.

Quite simply, it's the cost of the insurance. Skyrocketing premiums and co-pays. What would you do to keep insurers involved in the exchanges when they're hemorrhaging money?

We need single-payer. That's the ONLY 'fix'.

With Medicaid, Medicare, etc...the government ALREADY DOES have a 'determinative' role in funding healthcare.

Imagine a nation in which we all pay sales/VAT for insurance that covers everyone for everything. No insurance companies raking people over the coals for insurance, or worse, denying coverage altogether.

No one in the richest nation on Earth should lose their house because they develop cancer. It's time we joined the rest of the civilized world and treat healthcare access as a priority like defense and infrastructure.

Not to mention that it will save us, as a nation, a TON of money.
