The Notebook - Closing Scene
This is good but my favorite scene from The Notebook is when Ally chooses to stay with Noah, drives back to the house, gets out and shrugs her shoulders, drops her suitcases and runs into his arms.

Rebuild With Biden!
Have to say that one was a great scene -- the suspense of uncertainty and finally there she was. The Notebook is one of my favorite movies of all times.

Here's a transcript from Robert Bolt's Academy Award winning A Man For All Seasons

It's a movie about a man of principle.
And it's a scene that demonstrates how a man of principle thinks.

The scene takes place in a More's dining room, discussing a guest that has just exited the building.

Wife: "Arrest him."

More: "For what?"

Wife: "He's dangerous."

Daughter: "Father, that man's bad."

More: "There's no law against that."

Roper: "There is. God's law."

More: "Then God can arrest him."

Wife: "And while you talk, he's gone."

More: "And go he should if he were the devil himself, until he broke the law."

Roper: "So. Now you'd give the devil benefit of law."

More: "Yes. What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the devil?"

Roper: "Yes! I'd cut down every law in England to do that."

More: "Oh? And when the last law was down, and the devil turned ‘round on you; where would you hide Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws from coast to coast, man's laws not God's, and if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes. I give the devil benefit of law for my own safety's sake."

This movie won 6 Academy Awards, including Best Picture in 1966.

Thanks for the massive downer. o_O
If you haven't watched the entire movie, I am not sure you can make that assumption. :)

He goes to visit Old Dan and Little Ann's graves and finds a giant red fern between them. According to Native American legend, only an angel can plant one. He and his family look at it in awe, and he feels ready to move on knowing that his dogs are always going to be remembered.

I'm not wild about westerns (cowboys & Indians).

But of that genre, I like SHANE about as well as any.

Silverado and Three Amigos are also interesting.

Blazing Saddles didn't quite make the cut.
