Stan is the one who brought me into it. So keep your damn nose in your own business. AND it's none of your business if I argue with Phil. Are you his keeper or just kissing ass as usual. You freaks started this shit yesterday with using that stupid "bird" photo...like you did the avatar months ago. Why? Obviously to cause trouble. And of course you were in on the sliming of Bo and PMing each other about his business....none of yours. It's what you all do. So shut the f*ck up and go find someone else to argue with.
Again... WHAT?

Will you PLEASE stick to ONE subject? You're all over the place.. STAN (whoever THAT is)... SHOES.... BIRDS... PHIL.... BO... PMing.... Slime....

Seriously... can you maybe FOCUS a little? It would make it so much easier for the rest of us! Thanks.

Maria has been a catastrophic event. Where she will eventually end up is still unknown. Prayers for all those affected by her, Irma and Harvey.
Yeah. Talked to a friend last night that I hadn't seen since before Harvey. He was without power for 17 days.

No. What I'm doing is holding Trump accountable for what he claimed, rather than letting him off the hook based on what his right-wing apologists wish he'd claimed.

By all means, if you have evidence that Trump discovered Obama had Trump's wires tapped at Trump Tower, just share it. The FBI and Justice Department say it didn't happen, and Trump has never offered a shred of evidence that it did, but if you have the evidence, share it. For now, though, it looks like Trump simply made it up. If Trump's communications were incidentally collected as part of wiretapping of some other person entirely, that's obviously not the same thing.

I'd even allow this point to be stretched to salvage Trump's lie if we could believe Manafort was only targeted as an indirect way to listen in on Trump. But we know that's not the case. We know the FISA warrant against Manafort came about before he worked for Trump and before Trump declared for the presidency. The FBI was monitoring Manafort because there was probable cause to believe he was an unlawful agent of a foreign government. This wasn't about Obama having Trump tapped, as Trump's lie would have it. It was about the FBI spending years monitoring a foreign agent, and Trump possibly having some communications incidentally monitored when he communicated with that foreign agent.

What would make you imagine it was illegal? The news stories say that the Manafort wiretap was approved by the FISA court. It was legal. Nobody has claimed that the surveillance went beyond what the FISA court had allowed in the warrant.
Once again: Who's lying?

You REALLY are always confused, aren't you? I used that picture for maybe 2 days...I removed it over a week ago!

No, I won't shut the f*ck up.....as long as you're hear making a fool of yourself, I'll be here, it's just too much fun (like having to stare at a car accident).

Did somebody page Phil?

..is some serious old rehashing of some lame argument from a decade ago going down?
Nope. I'd NEVER page you. You might ask one of the 5 who horned in after my RESPONSE to *edited*/Thinker. They travel in a pack...much like mangy coyotes. Have a nice day, Phil.

Rebuild With Biden!
No wonder other lefty's seldom come to help you, you're embarrassing!
No, she's not an embarrassment, sorry.
Nina is perfectly capable of defending herself. Nina may get things wrong sometimes, same as the rest of us on PJ.
But I don't think Nina deliberately lies. Proving her point is what seems to make your side so upset with her. Sometimes to prove her point, Nina has to go to great lengths... While at the same time, most of you are barging in on the discussion/ trying to discredit Nina.

I was replying to the post by so-called Thinker...doing his usual back handed insults. That was a BIG mistake, I admit.

Not too sure about that. Don't know that any military history is taught anymore.
Funny, my complaint is the opposite: that history education in this country is too often treated as almost synonymous with military history. Americans tend to wind up pretty conversant with the names of generals, but not as much with politicians, union leaders, social activists, judges, scientists, writers, artists, etc.

Test yourself to see what I mean:

(1) How many civil war generals can you name?

(2) Now, how many members of Congress from the Civil War years can you name?

I'm not even a particular Civil War buff and off the top of my head I could name about 15 generals (Lee, Grant, Sherman, Jackson, Custer, Burnside, Mclellan, Sheridan, Early, Chamberlain, Meade, Scott, Longstreet, Pickett, Forrest) Yet, off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you who the US Speaker of the House was, at the time, nor name any other member of the House, or of the Supreme Court, and I could only name one or two Senators.

Our country has a severely militarized culture, which causes us to think of our history in terms of a series of military battles. Only recently has that begun to be remedied with some more inclusive history instruction, but we still tilt hard towards military history. Your average American remains shockingly ignorant of most of our history, other than the bits that involved chunks of lead blowing people's brains out.

What IS Nina's point? She has one?

So now you speak for all lefty's? Ha! She's yet to prove her point on anything....but you're right on one thing. She goes to GREAT LENGTHS to get whatever her point is across!

Bless you all

I do remember you called me a poopyhead once. I'm still in counseling over that transgression. (counseling: beer, brats & darts)

Doesn't matter HOW he found out. What matters is that it happened.
What matters is whether he was telling the truth. It turns out he wasn't. He claimed he'd found out that Obama had him wiretapped at Trump Tower. That was untrue. Not only had he not found that out when he claimed he did, it does not appear it was something that had actually happened: Obama never wiretapped him. The closest thing the Trump apologists could come up with, after months of mad scrambling, was that the FBI had been keeping tabs on Manafort for years.
