Yeah. Talked to a friend last night that I hadn't seen since before Harvey. He was without power for 17 days.
How is your friend doing now?
One of my best friends lives in Houston. She was fine throughout the storm, and aftermath. Her area never lost power, nor had any flooding. She was very lucky.
I am extremely fortunate in that I only lost power for less than two days. Sadly, there are many others who still don't have it restored.
The amount of damage is astounding. The clean-up everywhere continues.
Thankfully, the utility companies are working overtime to do everything they can to get people back up and running. (I keep a cooler with cold water in my car, and give it to those I see working).
I had very minimal damage. Having lived in south FL for so long, I do as much prep work as possible at the beginning of hurricane season, in the eventuality that a storm will hit. This year that preparation has paid off.
