I wouldn't say that. I'd say it's an astute assessment of the mental faculties of a gaggle of ignorant neanderthals who, if they could not play football, would be working in a car wash or dealing drugs, and would probably be dead by now.

The sad thing is, most, especially those who came out of poverty, are broke a few years after they stop playing. From football players here we realize that it is their friends and family who guzzle the player's money - they end up supporting swathes of the people they were poor with + family, buying them houses, cars, a lavish lifestyle, paying for their kids to go to school ect - Any poor kid who makes it good has to have a good and quite tough head too -

After what happened to Georgie Best here ---- he loved the girls and the booze and could suddenly buy it all 24/7 ...... they tried to keep players straight and help them save or invest their money wisely ---but it just isn't possible to keep them all wise - some of the African players especially 'cos they have whole families to keep, and who expect to be kept. Some of the home grown ones may keep their money but end up as washed out old drunks - From rags to riches can be a heart break to many.

That was English football darling - I only watched Rugby whilst Johnny Wilkinson was playing --- don't like the game much but he was tooo toooo amazing to miss.

Soccer is Football here ( Though, now split, 200 years ago, they were the same game)- All of the teams now playing are over 100 years old,( most came out of older but now defunct teams) - Most clubs were born out of Industry, Iron foundry workers, ship builders, miners, canning factory workers, steal workers ect - The clubs chants and songs are passed down from father to son which change with the times - some are spontaneous, the fans are so in tune with each other it just happens - one voice sings one word and the whole terrace joins in - they just know.

They sing horrible things to the opposing team and the opposing players to put them off ------- or they sing at their own players for good/out of love or for really pissed off ------Millwall ( founded in 1885) were booing their own team yesterday because they were playing so badly - I wouldn't like to piss off Millwall myself!!!!! I really wouldn't!
