Babies win one in federal court

I agree. But we're forced to pay for things we're against all the time. Take unions for instance. They're known to support the democrat party. Yet, the conservative employees are not given the option for their money to go to the party of their choice.

Why don't you want your tax dollars paying for it, maverickldr?
Because it is an unethical practice. The doctors were caught running a "baby parts for sale scam". Once abortion becomes a source for revenue selling baby parts, it becomes ugly. Same holds for law enforcement, when they started using law enforcement as a source for revenue, it became a criminal operation.

Abortion became a source of revenue a long time ago.

I just want to know why, if maverickldr understands that these victims are babies and doesn't want to pay for abortion....why doesn't she care if someone has an abortion?

I know you're not asking me, but I think it's an interesting and valid question. I am personally opposed to abortion. Essentially telling a baby, "sorry kid, now's not a good time. You're gonna have to die" is disgusting to me.

I don't think government should intervene in people's sex lives. Period (no pun intended). For millennia, women and men have managed their own reproductive organs. Have we really become so incompetent that we can no longer do so?

Anyway, I don't think abortion should be outlawed. Now hold on a second. What I do think is we should change the hearts and minds of people who think it is OK. It's not. Depending on how you ask, the baby has a heartbeat within weeks of conception. That makes it a life. The Libertarian in me isn't comfortable with banning things.

Now, we should certainly have reasonable restrictions on abortions. If a fetus is viable outside the womb, abortion of said fetus should not be legal. I also think we can take a lesson from leftists on this issue. They are more patient than people who lean right. That's because those of us who lean right tend to be more principled than leftists. On the other hand, there's a strong component of my personality that says any concession to evil means evil has won. I totally get that, and concede my own words can be perceived as somewhat contradicting each other.

Hearts and minds are changing, and pro abortion is losing. But in the meantime, over 2000 a day die by abortion. And it happens in these "safe" "clinics" where women are often not given information they seek, their options never discussed with them. Now, proabortion wants us all to pay for it for them, and to some extent we do. Do they try to achieve this desired result by attempting to change our hearts and minds? No. They go after this by electing bullies and ideologues who step and fetch (yeah, I said it) for Planned Parenthood and will cram legislation down our throats.

Why set a limit on abortion if you're not comfortable with banning things? Why is it okay to kill the smallest?

You have to understand the mindset of the left. They don't value life, especially life that doesn't conform to their idea of what "human" is. They are increasingly using the dehumanizing language of genocide to describe their political enemies, which of course makes those "enemies" all the more easy to kill. Likewise, calling an unborn child a "fetus" somehow makes them believe it's acceptable to kill it.

Well, where insisting we say "fetus" instead of "baby", the joke is on them. The word fetus means "little one". They insist on calling an unborn child a little one, and that's exactly what he is.

But you're right. They are increasingly using dehumanizing language to describe their enemies. And more and more they are seeing anyone who disagrees with them on any topic as an enemy.

Yes. That's how we end up with monsters like @Arkady, who are calling for the extermination of millions of Americans he believes are "sub-human scum". It's what the Nazis called "untermensch". It's 1939 again at the DNC.

I'd like to see the practice, of shooting abortion doctors in the head, come back. That would end the murder of pre-born babies much faster than appealing to the humanity, morality and decency of people who have no souls.

I suppose that if people like you were shot in the head, that might cut down on the number of women’s health workers being murdered. But you’ll notice I’m not the one saying I’d like to see that. I oppose violence. But I have a soul, so you and I are coming from very different places.

Suuuure, Adolf.

Clinton's polling numbers went up in the wake of the deplorables comment. It pissed off the halfwits and the sub-human scum who were embarrassed to realize that people recognized how deplorable they were, but they already supported Trump, so it made no difference what they thought.
Question: What's the square root of negative one?

Answer: A Trump voter who isn't sub-human scum.

Good catch, Marvin. There's that dehumanizing language we talked about. And Hillary certainly exemplified that, too, with her "basked of deplorables" comment.

This guy who's telling you he has a soul, coolly and calmly "selectively reduced" his own offspring.

They also use the word "Zygote", or say they're just a 'glob of cells'.....

The casual treatment of murder, genocide, and hatred is despicable.

You've made some excellent points here. First off, liberals usually like people to be informed- except when it comes to abortion. Abortion savages like those at Planned Parenthood? An ignorant woman is what they want- ignorant about the stage of development of their baby, ignorant about adoption, ignorant about anything that gets in the way of that baby being slaughtered and PP cashing in on it. Rest assured if we were talking about a tumor, liberals would be demanding doctors tell them everything they can about it so the woman can make an informed decision. Of course, abortion is not exceptional to liberals in just this way. It's the only invasive medical procedure I know of that doesn't require parental permission and sometimes not even notification. Amazing.

Of course, I would defund Planned Parenthood and any other bloodthirsty abortion savage group immediately. After all, we have Obamacare now, right? Birth control is free! But no, let's face it. This is big business. And like many big businesses, the baby killing businesses want their government subsidies.

Now... why set a limit? Because some limit should be set. And I don't think it's ever OK to kill the smallest. I think a viable fetus is a reasonable place to draw a line in the sand. I am against many things that I don't support a ban for, so abortion is not unique in that way.

But abortion should be unique to your standard of opposing certain behaviors but acknowledging another's right to that behavior. The reason why is simple: Everytime...every single time....an abortion takes place, a human being dies and in ways that, thirty or forty years ago, you couldn't depict in a movie without it receiving an X rating. And these are the smallest. They have no chance of survival. You're looking at it from a rights perspective, and that's what the proabortion lobby wants you to do. Just keep looking at rights and don't look at what actually takes place. We have a saying in prolife "When America sees abortion, America will reject abortion." I'm certainly not going to show you pictures or videos. But they are out there. You just have to look at what it really is that you don't believe should be banned, and then you'll support banning it. The videos that exposed PP's practice of selling fetal parts was an eye opener for many. Even though you don't see much on them, hearing abortionists talk about heads and torsos and arms was like ice cold water in the faces of many for whom abortion was this abstract concept...just a woman's right to not stay pregnant. That was because the proabortion lobby worked very hard to dehumanize the fetus and distract the public from the fact that these little victims do have heads and arms and eyes, etc....

I don't think "humanizing" aborted fetuses would make a bit of difference to leftists. They simply don't care, as the leftist only believes in "me, me, me." And, in doing so, they want everyone else to do the same--unless, of course, it is different than what they believe.

I have told it before, that I had two abortions. What gigi says is true - the child inside you is dehumanized as if it is just a thing - not until afterwards have you any inkling of it's horror, a part of you dies too. If I had had any idea of the truth of abortions I would have fought tooth and nail to keep them both. I can never forgive myself - one just can't ever feel right with the world ever again - I am not alone -

I did not know - that is no real comfort but those who argue for abortions today do know - they can't help but know - sinful - it is all so sinful - I would never argue to make abortions illegal, I nearly lost a friend at 16 who had a back st one, but to me, it is women's business, that it has become a business and such a big one is barbaric. They will have us believe that we live in enlightened times - we do not, we live in the most insidious of dark times.
