New Trump anti-Obamacare sabotage move - the executive order

Bugsy McGurk

President
Sure, the GOP Congress failed to pass a "repeal and replace" bill.

No worries, says Trump. He'll just violate the ACA, authorizing policies that don't comply with the ACA, but are designed to woo healthy people away from the ACA exchanges, leaving only sick people in the exchanges. That, of course, would collapse the system, which is Trump's oft-stated goal.

Trump's move is clearly illegal, but that doesn't matter to him - he is determined to sabotage the ACA in many ways, and he just doesn't care about violating the law. He will happily violate the oath he swore when he took office.

As his toadies cheer on his lawless conduct.

this is what everyone warned about during the Obama presidency.

reliance on executive orders sets the stage for heartbreak when your own party is removed from office by the voters.

Didn't they warn about it during the George W. Bush presidency? Previous presidents? It is always a problem for those not in power. Wielding political power is always a two-edged sword.

Despite your brainwashing, all presidents have used executive orders down through the ages. The use of executive orders is not the issue. The issue is Trump sabotaging statutes (and our health care system) through executive orders. Babbling about Obama does not address the issue.

your post is HILARIOUS!

Trump is keeping Obama's promise - that if you liked your old policy you can keep it.

Trump should have initiated this on day one, rather than spend most of the year watching congress bicker over obamacare reform.

give the people what congress through they were voting for. give the people what Obama promised.

Once again, Trump pisses on the Constitution, along with the oath he took, and Trump's toadies clap like trained seals.

Didn't Republicans in general and Trump criticize Obama for executive orders?

Obama tried the legislative path first, just as Trump has.

The Republicans blocked Obama.

But now that the Republicans control both houses, and the exec, they should be able to actually accomplish something.

But no.
They've been clattering about repeal & replace, and how they were going to make things so much better for us.
And here ACA remains the law of the land, Senator McCain having cast a determinative vote.
Commenting on Senator John McCain (R-AZ)
"He's not a war hero.
He is a war hero.
He's a war hero because he was captured.
I like people that weren't captured. OK?" Donald Trump: July 2015 seeking the Republican nomination for the 2016 presidential race

Interestingly, Obama issued executive orders at the lowest annual rate since Grover Cleveland.

So when Obama (or Reagan, Bush, Clinton or Bush) used executive orders it was ok, when Obama did it was tantamount to a dictatorship and now that Trump is, it is Obama's fault.

What part of the executive order will keep that promise?

But, didn't Obama promise that you could keep your health plan rather than policy. Semantics I know. Anyway, there is no way anybody in government can make that come true. Insurance companies change their health plans (or policies) frequently.

Yes. But, you spelled O'Bummer wrong. Geez, get it right next time.

Awwwwwwwww..............

Were you under the illusion that Trump would be the first or only President to not have a pen and a phone, (well, since we have had phones anyway), or that he should be the one and only President who was not permitted to use them?

How cute.

I have no problem with the idea of executive orders. But the content inside the executive order will raise premiums. Which begs the question, why????

Your minbenders have told you the issue is whether someone uses a pen or a phone.

Not so. Address the thread issue, if you can focus your mind.

Now buggy, my reply was to in response to, "the executive order", part of your TITLE.

I don't know that anyone could address the thread issue any better than actually addressing the very beginning of it, you?

Yeah............I feel the same.

I want executive orders used only when they do what I want done too, but I guess we all have our little crosses to bear, right?
