New Trump anti-Obamacare sabotage move - the executive order

Do you think your premiums because of Trump's executive order?
Not sure exactly what this was meant to ask, the forgotten word or words might have helped but no matter, whatever you are asking concerning this order an me is not important.

I am ok with it because of what it does for others.

Now at least our government is not fining people for not purchasing a service they were instructed to purchase by the government so that alone earns my support.

If some people over 60 want to purchase a policy that excludes birth control benefits or some people under 30 opt to purchase policies lacking long term cancer care, now they will not be forced to do so anyway just to fund the same policy they are forced to buy in order to also pay part of the same policy for others.

I'm ok with that too.

Full-throated support for Trump's absolutely lawless behavior, violating the ACA because Congress failed to repeal it.

Don't forget your applause for your Dear Leader...

The government is still fining people for not purchasing Insurance.
Trump 100% can not wave a magic wand and allow policies that don't cover the 10 essential benefits to be sold on the exchanges. It would take an act of congress for that to happen.

But now they are free to purchase policies more in line with what they think they need as opposed to only policies the government tells them they need.

Again, a win.

Trump doesn't care about the law. He's a dictator wannabe.

His executive order is just the latest step in his sabotage of Obamacare. Only healthy people would buy such "Trumpcare" policies, increasing the percentage of sick people insured through the ACA exchanges, which will increase the negative effects of Trump's sabotage of the exchanges.

If all you need to "win" was an empty photo op, that does nothing, why didn't you say so? It could have been arranged much earlier. If all you needed to do to feel like a winner was raise people's premiums then why didn't you say so?
I would consider a "win" to be lowering peoples premiums. It doesn't do that. Republicans will be held accountable for their incompetence and lies.
The same 10 essential benefits that were mandated in coverage(including pregnancy coverage for old people) are still in place. The 1o essential benefits are what I picture when I hear conservative bitching about coverage they think they don't need, but I could be wrong. Right-wingers to do this day are still terribly ignorant about healthcare, its why they failed to pass legislation. Executive orders can't countermand legislation passed by congress.

Oh come now bugeye, you know as well as I do that if anything to do with this could even qualify as "iffy", let alone the dreaded, "absolutely lawless behavior", that you claim here, you and the other loons on the left would already have mobilized an army of electric cars and headed to DC for another one of those cute little cooter hat marches demanding Trump be hanged in a public square.

(One without any statues of slave owners. That should go without saying of course.....)

Patience. This particular lawless action from Trump took place today. There will be protests and lawsuits.

The bottom line, though, is that Trump will continue violating the law unless and until his toadies pressure him to follow the law. And you will likely never do that.

Sure, the GOP Congress failed to pass a "repeal and replace" bill.

No worries, says Trump. He'll just violate the ACA, authorizing policies that don't comply with the ACA, but are designed to woo healthy people away from the ACA exchanges, leaving only sick people in the exchanges. That, of course, would collapse the system, which is Trump's oft-stated goal.

Trump's move is clearly illegal, but that doesn't matter to him - he is determined to sabotage the ACA in many ways, and he just doesn't care about violating the law. He will happily violate the oath he swore when he took office.

As his toadies cheer on his lawless conduct.

Did he swear an oath of absolute obedience to SCROTUS and its testicles on Capitol Hill? Both John Tyler and Andrew Johnson could have been good Presidents if it hadn't been for Congress's aggressive pursuit of supremacy. This is always a danger, especially when Senators and Representatives feel more loyalty to one another than to their own party's chief office-holder.

Despite your brainwashing, all presidents have used executive orders down through the ages. The use of executive orders is not the issue. The issue is Trump sabotaging statutes (and our health care system) through executive orders. Babbling about Obama does not address the issue.
There is no sabotaging of something that was created to fail.

We're going to make obamacare as toothless as possible with congressional help or without.
Because when the crash does finally come the pain for you will not be so bad and you can have healthcare coverage if you want it or not.

You don't choose when you get sick or not. You just want the ability to choose to not pay for it. If you don't have health insurance it makes you a leech.

Perhaps you could look at it as if Trump is telling the government that we now have sanctuary states for people fleeing a government that mandates they purchase something they do not wish to purchase.

That help?

Your point is what compared to free to choose?
The problem is people can't afford the healthcare why force them to buy coverage?
EVERYBODY GETS SICK. Allowing people to not buy insurance isn't preventing illness or decreasing demand for healthcare at all. Allowing people to not buy insurance is just allowing them to not pay for services they receive.
They will use healthcare regardless of having insurance or not. People who don't have insurance will just declare bankruptcy to avoid paying their medical bills. The uninsured don't skip out of getting healthcare they just skip out on paying.
If you want to do away with the individual mandate there is a way. If you make medical debts unable to be discharged in bankruptcy and those debts follow them to their kids after people die, then you will be able to do away with the individual mandate.

He swore an oath to adhere to the Constitution, which he now pisses on.
