OK whose got the nerve to show a real picture of yourself?

Were you embarrassed by the criminal actions, the hypocrisy, the overreach and abuse of power, the circumventing of Congress and the trashing of the constitution by the Obama administration?
I'm not the least bit embarrassed by President Trump's efforts to fix the mess your guy made. I thank God he's there.
Gibberish gibbered by an octagenarian gibberer who also happens to have been gibbering on and on and on for years on end. This is gibbering on an epic scale, JD may be close to setting the world record for continuous gibbering. Well done, you may end up in the Fox Gibbering Hall of Fame.

This is a light-hearted thread about pictures of yourself. Can it be just about that?

Now this is a first, a complete screed of gibberish, accusing another poster of posting gibberish.
And I am not an octogenarian...yet.

Now you don't think I forgot your world class, star worthy brand of gibberish did you? You know something, some of these people have no sense of humor. I got down rated for a classic comeback that should have elicited a smile from everyone just as I know it did for you. Have we lost our sense of humor? My lord, I am working hard here to bridge the intelligence gap but sometimes it just seems like its a lost cause.

It's a universal problem. When you are talking face to face with someone, you can hear the inflection in their voice and see the sly smile or wink and know they are joking or playing. I love subtle, tongue-in-cheek humor but it's almost impossible to use it on the written page without adding a complete explanation.
You may recall, back in the Fray days, I got into a vat of shit for calling a Liberal woman FAT. She was fat but apparently she didn't want to know.
Then I told another Liberal woman she needed to be tied up and peed on. You would have thought I'd dropped a turd in their celebratory dinner punch bowl.
That term is a comment that Texas men will say to each other, if one of their wives is too demanding on one of their buddies. They advise the henpecked friend to tie her up and pee on her to take some of the uppity attitude out of her. No Texas man would actually do it or expect any of their buddies to do it and they sure as hell wouldn't say it to their own wives.
Anyway, I said it and I learned a hard lesson about trying to be funny in a digital setting.
I find the seriousness, with which some folks on political forums, take life and social interaction, hilarious. It's primarily why I participate in forums like this, it's fun.
You and I are on opposite ends of the political rainbow (no gay pun intended) but I've met you and I like you so I don't care what you believe, politically. It's you basic constitutional right.
And if you'd listened to me before the election, the shock of her loss might not have been so traumatic for you. wink wink.

I come here once in a while only because some of the old fray regulars hang here. I have to admit though, this is a mean place with no real core to it. There is no fun here, it's all Jane you worthless slut stuff every time I read anything. It is one thing to disagree but do we have to separate ourselves to the point where we cannot find one single thing in common? Is there nothing that binds us together anymore? I find the lack of any desire or need to feel part of a larger group at the heart of what is failing us right now. I confess that I succumb to this myself. It would be easy for me to just hate others, in fact, I do. But is that good? I don't think so. My advice is to stop watching obviously slanted and politically inspired media and reconnect to somehow become Americans again. It was not that long ago when all of us thought we were Americans not democrats or republicans.

But ALL politically inspired media are slanted and biased in one direction or the other.
Call me when you come back to Dallas, it's your turn to buy lunch.

Bull. Political bias implies a desire by management to promote something. Our media is owned by money hungry jerks who would turn our media into supporters of perversion if it made them money. The idea that some master plan is at work at non-Fox media outlets is a right wing fantasy. The truth is that all of us are biased, we cannot escape our own personal worlds. Those of us who attempt to be subjective can only get close, we cannot really be subjective. But when you throw money into it, we all get personal, its about us and how much dough or power we can gain. I truly believe that in our lifetimes, the news was once a fairly objective place. That lasted for about 20-30 years after WW2 when our collective shock was so profound that we had to admit all of us were in the same boat. That was the world of the 50s and 60s. Along came the 70s and it started to fade away, WW2 and the depression were no longer part of our story lines. We became fixated on the "I". Reagan turned us into individual champions of the cult of the "me, me, mine". We lost ourselves in the pursuit of money. That is where we are today. All that counts is money. It disgusts me.

Horseshit, WB, the alphabet news, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, WAPO and NYT, and others, have, by choice become, the right arm of the Democrat Party, and its primary fundraising vehicle. The evidence is compelling. They either ignore the bad news for Democrats or simply make up news as they wish it was.
If we actually had a free and unbiased press, Obama would not have won the election in 2012, and Hillary would not have been the Democrat nominee, '16.

More gibberish, you are on a roll. JD, you need to retire from this stuff. Your world is consumed with trying to separate us from each other to gain what exactly? You live in Texas. No state is more of a paradise of right wing claptrap than the mighty state of brisket. The country is a mix of all of us. You and yours are not Americans all by yourself. We are all Americans and this concept evades you in your insane desire for conservative purity. I really don't give a shit if you want to believe conservatism is the best thing since sliced bread. But if you accompany your wet dreams with the power to force your views upon me, judge others like immigrants, gays, liberals and so on to the point where they are persecuted, you and yours can go f yourself. We are the majority. In the war of views, we always win because our culture and society is moving away from your dreams of yore, we are moving past you despite politics.

Ah, you, my friend, are the consummate Liberal. black is white; white is black; up is down and down is up; wrong is right; right is wrong; night is day and day is night, etc.

Believing in America First, responsible behavior; secure borders that keep out drug smugglers, thieves, and sexual predators, and respect for the flag and people who keep us safe, to a Liberal equates to trying to separate us from each other.

Why would we want to separate ourselves from; flag-burners, baby-killers, folks who consort with, and lend aid and comfort to, the enemies of The United States; a political party that will stop at nothing to consolidate its power; people who never hold their leaders accountable for their crimes, treason, lack of ethics, morals, and a sense of fair-play? I'll tell you why.

Democrat policies are self destructive to the individual; devoid of any sort of moral frame; not safe for women and children: Liberals have sanctioned the killing of over a million pre-born babies every year, at least half of whom statistically are girls. Therefore, Liberals are killing a half million baby women a year; if that is not a “war on women” I don’t know what you’d call it.
For me to stop trying to separate us from Liberal theology would be like a Christian giving equal time to the devil.

Like Kipling said: East is east and west is west and never the twain shall meet. Now, if you will look up and read, the next line to that poem, it will tell you when I will stop trying to separate my species from yours.

You guys will love this one. Me wearing part of a 1970's VMI Cadet uniform at a Civil War Round Table meeting. I'm the only member small enough to wear it. Our speaker that night was a VMI Cadet graduate in the 70's and his topic was the VMI Cadets at the Battle of New Market. Maintaining my Confederate soldier physique comes in handy some times and I'm a good sport too.

Yeah, I've looked at a lot of the uniforms at battlefield visitor centers and was amazed at how small most of the men were in those times. There were some fat guys, of course ,but most were very slender. I couldn't get into my Navy uniforms 5 years after I got out of the service, especially my hat.

I love a man in uniform.

Google, Facebook, and the FBI are building files that try to identify everyone so people can be recognized by the facial software. I think [people are crazy to post their pictures and go into their database. I would like people to start posting different faces for themselves and confuse the system. Why make it easy to track you everywhere.
