Having 10,000 illegal criminals running around in our neighborhoods makes us safer!

Honest!

The utter stupidity of the above statement is obvious to any sane person.... but, there you have it. Insanity is prospering in this country, and the people who agree with it should really have a country of their own where they can risk their own lives, and their own families' lives, instead of everyone else's. Go for it, nutjobs! Move to California, build a wall around yourselves, and do what you want in your little shit hole!

"Earlier this year, The Washington Times reported on a Center for Immigration Studies analysis that found that from January 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015, more than 17,000 ICE detainer requests were rejected by sanctuary jurisdictions.

Of those rejected requests, almost 70 percent were issued for individuals with a prior criminal history. That’s over 10,000 likely and confirmed criminal illegal aliens who ignored U.S. immigration law in how they came to be in this country, allegedly engaged in additional criminal conduct while here, and were returned to the streets rather than handed off to ICE.

This action, the left would have us believe, makes us safer rather than less safe. Over 10,000 times safer, if you follow the logic."

I’d like to have just ONE ‘progressive ‘ explain this moronic thinking, and make it sound rational...
I suspect they're a little gun shy. They've gotten burned posting *studies* that tell us how people who break the law actually commit less crimes, people who work for cash and pay no income taxes actually contribute more than they take and other such nonsense. I suspect even they have a point where they cannot take any more ridicule of their preposterous theories.

It's very simple. We're in much more danger from the police state being built by immigration law enforcement than from a Mexican whose only hope of a job was in the U.S. but who was refused a visa because the ruling class wanted illegal and not legal immigration (easier to control) and got caught with a joint.

Thanks for proving you are a mexico-firster. Treason is the worst of all crimes.

When people close to you are affected by the actions of an illegal...shot in the face, ect...You will know what to do and unfortunately you could have prevented that, but you did not.

assume that since we know who these 17,000 dangerous illegal aliens are, we can take the following steps:

  • barred from food stamps are other federal entitlement programs
  • no tax refunds
  • cannot board an aircraft to any other destination
  • no wire transfers of funds in our out of the USA (patriot act)
and so on and so forth

The mere fact that the studies tell you something you don't want to believe isn't enough to debunk them.

1. It turns out that Kate Steinles was hit by a bullet that had ricocheted twice off of the ground and a bench. That is why the jury found that it was an accident. Certainly the shooter was negligent, but it is likely the jury didn't have the lesser charge that they might have found him guilty off.

2. In the case of Estrada-Margos the sheriff's office notified ICE that he was being released, before he was set free. ICE had two weeks to track the guy down...since they must have had an address for the guy to have gotten bail.

3. ICE requests a 48 hour hold. The judge granted bail and ordered him released. I'm not clear on all the constitutional ramifications related to holding someone who had been ordered released by a judge. I also don't get that an illegal immigrant can get bail....but then I'm not a lawyer.

10,000?? You mean 40 million. ALL illegals are by definition criminals. We need to follow the law and say "Anyone caught here illegally will be deported. No exceptions".
Not even Trump attempt to say there are 40 million illegal aliens...but would you call someone who was brought here as a child a criminal?

that's technically correct. but millions of illegal aliens are possibly guilty of identity theft to obtain benefits to which they are not entitled.

when was the last time (on "cops") you saw them arrest a non-English speaker who produced a legal identity document?

I responded to this...and the response was lost.

You say "technically". In fact it would be against the law to do as you suggest. That is not a technicality.

Point being that we don’t need any more scumbags like this, we’ve already got enough of our own. Why protect people like these ??????

Legally, presence in the U.S. without authorization is not defined as a crime but as a civil offense (similar to a traffic ticket).

They could just as easily be shot by a U.S.-born citizen ... in fact, they are much more likely to be since "illegals" commit crimes of violence at a lower rate.
