I think so too. Most, if not all, of us are pretty thick skinned. I hate censorship. But they are not Jen, we know they are not. They have skins like a Rinosurus
We are all thick skinned now --- none of us are snowflakes -even the snowflakes are not.
I get the reasons why, the cat fights of old where only fun on occasion - not as a constant. I just think that if we put our heads together we would find a way for Mods to do their thing with less effort and we could all, including A&B, talk without having to watch our every word.
I have proposed my idea on how it could work. Sure there's a downside. Everything has a downside.
But moderating with nitpicking rules - based on what is turned in is just not a good method. And to me, name-calling is one of those nitpicking rules that can go by the wayside.
New Rule: There will be no suspensions due to name calling starting now. Don't turn in posts for that.
Moderators will edit out the most egregious of words (the N word) (if they are turned in) but still no suspensions. If someone uses that word several times in every post (aka a lot thus making too much work for the mods) ......... moderator discretion dictates that a penalty beyond editing may take place. And moderator discretion would dictate what that penalty would be.
That's how it would go.
Easier for the moderators.
Fine for all but the butthurt at everything posters.
