I hope they string up the reporters and the FBI people who got the perks for bribery. If I am not mistaken they are not allowed to accept gifts over $25 in value.

Yeah, it's too bad people are so corrupt they use their wealth to bribe others to benefit themselves. Sure is. YEP should hang them all.

Donald Trump used to have a simple theory for how politicians worked. “When you give,” he said last year, “they do whatever the hell you want them to do.”

Now, this year’s Trump seems to think last year’s Trump was wrong.

The Republican nominee is facing new scrutiny over a 2013 episode where his pay-to-play theory of politics seemed to work perfectly — and casting it, instead, as an innocent transaction with no strings attached.

Back then, Trump’s charitable foundation gave a $25,000 donation to a group backing the reelection of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. Then, Bondi’s office made a decision that benefited Trump: It declined to pursue an investigation into fraud claims against Trump University.

That case fits an old pattern in Trump’s political giving. Unlike wealthy executives who spread their money broadly — loyal to the same candidates or ideologies year after year — Trump’s gifts have been tightly focused on his own personal and business needs.

He raised money for Jeb Bush while lobbying Bush’s allies to soften the governor’s opposition to casino gambling. He started giving to Virginia state candidates after purchasing a golf course and, later, a winery in the state. And he backed two county commissioners in Palm Beach County, Fla., amid a dispute over airport noise at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

LOS ANGELES — Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump tried unsuccessfully to give her gifts, including a free stay at one of his hotels, as part of what she called his pattern of trying to influence news coverage of his presidential campaign.

In her memoir “Settle for More,” to be released Tuesday, Kelly says Trump may have gotten a pre-debate tip about her first question, in which she confronted him with his critical comments about women. Her book also details the insults and threats she received after Trump’s tirades objecting to her reporting. The Associated Press obtained an advance copy of the book Saturday.

Kelly, host of Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly Report,” said Trump routinely attempted to gain favorable treatment from other journalists and commentators.

“This is actually one of the untold stories of the 2016 campaign: I was not the only journalist to whom Trump offered gifts clearly meant to shape coverage,” Kelly said. He also attempted to woo them with praise, she said, adding, “This is smart, because the media is full of people whose egos need stroking.”

Nina,
Can you answer a simple question, honestly?
Would you prefer that The United States go to war against North Korea rather than a working peace treaty be achieved, that results in de-nuclearization, during the term of Trump's presidency? Whether you believe it will happen or not is irrelevant. Would you prefer war over a Trump generated peace?

Of course I'd rather have peace. But I don't trust Trump to achieve it. They are playing him for the fool he is just like Putin does.
