Donald Trump and his children are accused of doing what they accused the Clintons of doing.

Monies from the Trump Foundation went not to charities, but used for the campaign, used for the personal benefit of the family.

Referrals were also made to the IRS and the Federal Election Commission.

Read the link and have a good laugh....at the Trump criminal enterprise.

Rebuild With Biden!
Trump had already declared none of the money in the fund had been used for political purposes... he must have lied... :rolleyes: :D
If it was legit... have to wonder why Trump was trying to dissolve it.

============================

The foundation was explicitly “prohibited from participating or intervening in any political campaign on behalf of a candidate,” the petition notes, adding that Mr. Trump himself signed annual I.R.S. filings, under penalty of perjury in which he attested that the foundation did not engage in political activity. “This statutory prohibition is absolute.”

snip -----

The Trump Foundation has been in legal limbo since after the election, when the president wanted to dissolve it amid growing controversy about its practices. But in late 2016, a spokeswoman for the attorney general’s office, Amy Spitalnick, said the foundation “cannot legally dissolve” while it is under investigation.

The attorney general’s referrals to the I.R.S. and the F.E.C. could add another wrinkle that might slow the foundation’s dissolution. The agencies are not known for their expeditious handling of enforcement actions, and the lawsuit notes that the foundation cannot legally complete its wind down “until the complaints to the Internal Revenue Service and Federal
Election Commission have been resolved and it is determined if any penalties or fines will be imposed on the foundation.”

Is it so wrong of me to be tickled that Uday, Qusay and 1/2 of Jarvanka are included in this lawsuit and face the possibility of charges, too? :)

This is the writer who won a Pulitzer for his reporting on how Trump doesn't give to charities when he says he does.

David Fahrenthold

@Fahrenthold

Just talking to a former IRS official about this. He was amazed at the range of the violations here. "They hit an extraordinary catalog of how *not* to run a private foundation. There’s little else he could have done that would have made it worse."

Imagine what blockbuster news this would be with any other president.

With Trump, everyone’s reaction is like “”Yeah? So? Trump is a craven, rapacious, utterly corrupt swine? Duh!”

;-)

Trump insists he won't settle. He said that when he was sued for that con Trump Univ. He settled then and he'll settle again.
He will likely settle if it costs less money than fighting the charges would require. It may be years before we know how much money he has "earned" from his "public service."

"And when it comes to wringing bucks out of this administration, no one can match President Donald Trump himself for the sheer depth and breadth of his national grift.

"Hell, the way he's set things up it's virtually impossible to even capture its scope.

"Thanks to presidential ethics laws that never contemplated a businessman president who would not follow the political norms of divesting himself of his businesses, disclosing his taxes and generally trying to avoid conflicts of interest, much and possibly all of this is legal if unseemly. 'The president can't have a conflict of interest,:eek: Trump noted even before he took office, perhaps confusing a technical matter of law for a broader matter of ethics."

Isn't that a separate issue......in the emoluments cases filed against Trump?

Trump accused Hillary's Foundation of doing what he had been doing for YEARS with his Foundation. There's a pattern.....when Trump accuses others, he's the one who's guilty.

Absolutely. And as he was accusing Hillary of rigging the election, he was fully aware of the Kremlin’s illegal interference in our election. And knowing how corrupt he is, he started calling her “Crooked Hillary.” And knowing how much actual fake news was floated by the Kremlin/Trump cabal, he started calling real news fake news.

It’s Trump’s M.O. - just another tool when running his cons.
