He is a narcissist, and like any good narcissist, Obama can't stand the fact that things are working so much better now that he is out of office and his policies were rolled back. He's up on stage desperately trying to take credit for the same Trump economy that he was trashing just before hand.
That's not the scary part though. The scary part is that there are idiots out there who believe him.

In 2008 we had Sarah Palin claiming Obama was pals with terrorists. We had a woman in a McCain rally call Obama an Arab. Thankfully McCain corrected her. Republicans started the long simmering claim that Obama was a Muslim, wasn't born in the US and was therefore not the legitimate president...We had republican leaders in congress swear to stop any legislation proposed by Obama. Did you miss all of that?
For the first time in our history we had a republican congressman call the president a liar in a joint session of congress. Obama won the election of 2008 by 10 million votes, but the republicans in congress vowed to ignore the will of the voters.
Now you have a president who did not win the popular vote, but because his ego can't stand the idea of actually having more votes going to Hillary...he lied. He claimed 5 million illegal votes cast for her. Of course that would be a pretty important issue to investigate...did he? Nah. He claims the press is the enemy of the people...because they point out every lie he tells.
Trump is the great divider. You deny it because you are one of the roughly 36% who still like the guy.
