Yes they are purposely under reporting the numbers

It's actually 3000 miles wide with top windspeeds of 675 mph....generating 300 foot waves.

Shhhhhhhh.....

They're trying to hide Global Warming

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at1+shtml/093018.shtml?cone#contents No human in it's path is expected to live. The Military is currently accepting help from the Chinese and Russian militaries, as there will clearly be too much damage for America to handle alone. Why is it that the little sparrows always seem to survive, when the people that depend upon McDonalds and Burger King to survive, do not?

Ban McDonalds and Burger King now
You gotta love the irony of this storm and how liberals relate it to Donald J Trump.
Trump is of course a skeptic of man-made climate change and was thus maligned by the Washington Post...

“Yet when it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit,” The Post’s editorial board wrote Tuesday night. “He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks.”

“It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change. But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters,” the editorial board wrote.

So Trump somehow by his attitude towards climate alone is more responsible for the damage and deaths that are likely to occur. Astounding "logic".

Now the storm is deteriorating fast, the possible Cat 4 landfall is going to be a far tamer Cat 1. Thescare tactics of Bermuda's 80 degree water temps "feeding" this hurricane to a dangerous and deadly size DID NOT happen. The opposite did.

So is this because Trump's attitude towards climate change somehow became more enlightened? Was it a prayer at the altar of Saint Algore? The libs are just so hate-filled it's their intent to pin hurricane death and destruction on Republicans... like where have we seen that before?

8 out of 10 people that I have talked to about this subject even those who lean left simply cannot believe their ears.

Probably because your version of what WaPo said has nothing to do with what they actually said.
They used the word "complicit". Can you explain how Trump is somehow responsible for a disastrous force like a hurricane better than they can? Take a shot...

Because he is using his platform and his power to promote policies that will raise the intensity of such storms in the future according to one of the best-established scientific theories in history.

So no possible explanation why they said that about THIS specific storm then?
Interested in this present madness, not nonsensical future theorizing.

Seems to me the article gives humans a pass, choosing instead to attack Trump.

Do you need a policy to force you to reduce carbon emissions? When are you throwing out your PC and other electronics that contribute emissions
