I guess Kavanaugh was just the best the GOP could do

Sure, there’s hundreds of people out there with similar records of achievement in the legal field.

But this is the GOP we’re talking about. Do they think the nation’s most qualified nominee for a SCOTUS seat is an unhinged, arrogant, hyper-partisan, perjuring man with a history of sexual assaults?

Yup. They do. Horrifying as it is, Kavanaugh was just the best the GOP could do. Trump nominated him, so they rammed him through after a whitewash for the ages.

Such is life under GOP control in the Banana Republic of Trumplandia.

It was all about his on record writings of a President is exempted, or maybe he felt to Trump like the long lost son he always wished for, you know loud, obnoxious, drinker, take advantage of women.

Ok something my wife keeps bringing up, the look of disgust his wife gives him in the trial and fox news circus, especially when he talks about not binge drinking and being a virgin well past college - a wife knows when her husband is lieing........

A great family man..............whats missing on his ring finger now...............don't want that tan line now do we ?

He's a 50ish,Federalist Society,anti-Clinton type that served on Starr's staff. He's been groomed for a lifetime judicial appointment. Despite his WSJ op-ed,they don't think he will abandon his political activism.

Yup. I’m sure Trump felt a special connection with Kavanaugh. Trump faces sexual predation allegations from 20+ women, and even bragged about such conduct on tape, but Trump’s approach is simple - deny, deny, deny. Call them all liars and threaten to sue them.

So, when the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh were revealed, I’m sure Trump felt a special brotherhood with him. And I’m sure Trump advised him to use the same deplorable ploy - deny, deny, deny. Blame the allegations on the Dems. Call all the allegations an “orchestrated plot.” A conspiracy. Just make it up - lie, lie, lie. And do it loudly and arrogantly.

Sure, Trump could have yanked Kavanaugh’s nomination after all the allegations of sexual assault and perjury, and after the unhinged yelling and arrogant abuse of senators. But why? Trump loves those traits. So do his stooges in the Senate. It’s just the best the GOP could do.

"History of sexual assaults" is a whopper, son.
But then you serve up as many whoppers as Burger King.

Enjoy the new SCOTUS season!

All true. And he brings a special “quality” to the table as far as Trump is concerned - long after he helped Ken Starr in the WJC inquisition, Kavanaugh came out against the investigation and prosecution of presidents. As far as Trump was concerned, that put Kavanaugh at the top of his list.

It’s only a “whopper” if you assume the accusers are all lying. Trump would love your perspective.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
Judging by how well it exposed the thinly veiled insurrection you socialists have been conducting for decades, I'd say why yes, yes it is...

Insurrection? Socialists?

A very strong entry in today’s GOP Lying Contest. And it was very efficient lying - two ridiculous lies in a very short post.

Consider yourselves exposed. Your dissembling no longer works.

It’s not dissembling to note that you lied when claiming the airing of Ford’s allegations was an “insurrection by socialists.” As rotted as your mind is, I’m sure you know that.

What I "know" is that Ford's allegations are completely unsubstantiated, and uncorroborated. They are simply the hollow claims of a radical left wing closet code pinko. The fact that you consider them, well, factual, while believing that the rising tide of openly socialist candidates running as "democrats" is in no way indicative of the Democrats' hard, obvious lurch leftward into the lazy conceit of socialist ideology is all one need know to be crystal clear on which one of us is the "liar" here.

Your absurd lies are tedious.

Let me give you an opportunity to tell the truth...

You just don’t care if Kavanaugh committed sexual assaults and perjury. You fully support the Trump/GOP whitewash of the allegations.

Right?

What's "right" is that your "belief" that Kavanaugh was lying, despite the accuser's story not withstanding examination is, well, wrong...

You elected one President...William Jefferson Clinton with a long list of victims who were chased down by his wife and told to shut up and after that you wanted to vote here to be President.

Yes we are not folding to your lies, or unprovable claims. Yes you believe the woman who claims gang rape but she kept going back 10 times and never called the cops.

Your hackery is boring.

Bottom line - Kavanaugh was just the best Trump and the GOP could do. If you weren’t a hopeless GOP cultist that would leave you stunned.

McConnell told Trump not to nominate Kavanaugh. So did Sen Ben Sasse.

McConnell immediately set about witholding reams of Kavanaugh records so the Dems wouldn't have access. Suspicious. Don McGahn did the same guiding the FBI investigation. Suspicious again.

A majority conservative SCOTUS will gladly take us back to the 1950s - women, minorities, labor rights, voting rights, etc. be damned.
