I don't trust any sources as the sole supplier of the news. You actually cannot identify a single fake news story from CNN, but imply that everything they report is fake...just as Trump has told you to do. Sure thing...so how many indictments were there? Oops..none. So no laws were broken.

What the report says is that they chose inappropriate criteria to review applications.
The problem was that Congress designed a tax status that couldn't possibly have been enforced by means other than asking questions about their political activities. The result was that, in the end the IRS walked away from obvious illegal applications and just passed them all through.

But then that wasn't the point of my post. If Obama had dismissed the IG you'd have freaked out.

1. My post was about your reaction had Obama taken steps as Trump has to interfere...you dodged that reality.

2. I just looked at the report findings...it doesn't say that. Both left and right wing groups were targeted. The report faults the IRS for having based their scrutiny on the names of groups and not the evaluation of the likelihood of participation of political campaigns...

I thing that it was entirely appropriate to request info on the political activities of groups applying for a tax exempt status that was only to be had by non-political groups.
