If someone on a blog says it, it has to be true.
Have you done your taxes yet? I have not. I'll let you know. Meanwhile what passes for fact with you is a cartoon or a picture with a caption about eating scrabble pieces.

I just saw a news report on people who will pay more in fed income taxes. That is because they pay more for mortgage interest and that is capped now. One family got $10k back last year and will pay $10 this year. A shift of $20,000. No changes to their marital status or dependents.

With every tax policy change there are winners and losers. And just like restaurant reviews, the ones that have a bad experience will get played over and over in the media.

But most everyone got a tax cut. Some states that have crazy tax laws may have gotten a raw deal. Sort of like some of us got a raw deal with ACA and weren't able to keep our insurance policy.

It is what it is.

The political side of it is what is entertaining. You only write about people that had to pay more in taxes. But you don't write about the 70% that got a tax cut, or the 20% who's taxes remain the same. You write about the 10% that pay more due to their states laws.

What kills me is, so what? Democrats are trying to take advantage of some disgruntled tax payers etc. but what is their plan again? You have a particular crop of Presidential candidates who are tossing around 70% and asset forfeiture as part of a tax plan?

I don't get the strategy, then again I don't get vast majority of the things the Democrats come up with anymore.

But what about today? Have Trump's actions impacted Blaschak's new mine and boosted local job growth?

The short answer: no.

"Not directly," said Driscoll. "We have not seen a big impact from any changes in the past three to four years."

But like all the workers here, Gasparetti was transferred from another mine that Blaschak had just closed, only a few miles away.

Those media reports about new jobs got it wrong, says Driscoll. So far, nothing new has been created.

The only slashed regulation that has touched the industry so far, said Driscoll, is the end of the Stream Protection Rule, which prevented companies from dumping ash and waste into waterways.

"Coal is not coming back. Coal in the U.S. will never come back," said Art Sullivan, a mining consultant in western Pennsylvania. He's worked in coal for 52 years, starting as a miner. He's says people in the country's coal regions have been misled.

"Trump is a liar. Trump gave hope to a group of people I respect, admire, and have spent my working career with. He lied to them because they were desperate for hope," said Sullivan.

Driscoll is the CEO of Blaschak Corp, the company that is reopening the Mount Carmel mine...it is not a new mine and it is being reopened because of a million dollar grant from the county.

Have you done your taxes yet? I have not. As soon as I can tell you my own numbers, I will. The story on the news last night was related to changes in deductions that caused a substantial increase in federal taxes...it was not about state laws.

Bingo!

The ONLY people who could possibly pay more income taxes under the Trump plan would be the Evil Rich who have over $750,000 in mortgage interest. Anyone else got a cut.

And the ONLY plan Dimwingers have is higher taxes.

Yet, the board Dimwingers are wailing and caterwauling about people getting smaller refunds this year.

My taxes will be done April 15th. I always owe big dollars as I don't want the government using my money.

I have a lot of mortgage deductions so we will see.

When I used the tax calculator last year when the new policy came out, I was to see about a 1k savings. Would have been much much more had my daughters still been under age.

Where is the story about the 20k shift? It isn't in the link.

This is why presidents usually don't do anything when they are in office. Because if you do something big like ACA or tax cuts you get slammed by the small percentage of people it hurts and the media grabs hold of that instead of the vast majority that it helped.

It would be very hard to believe that anyone here on pj paid more in federal taxes then they did last year if their income and deductions were about the same.

I already know that too little was deducted, but I don't know what the bottom line on Fed Taxes will be.

How many of those people who expressed their support for it in the video, at least initially, had read it? But they were willing to vote in favor of it..... that's crazy, IMO.
I don't understand why the interviewer and people on the right resort to a completely dishonest account of the bill. There is plenty to disagree with...why make up a fictional version of it?

How else would you get every American to give up their cars, spend tens of thousands changing the way they heat their homes, stop flying etc.....etc......
So the bottom line is that there is nothing in the bill that says it will outlaw gas, oil or coal. There is nothing in the bill that would outlaw air travel. There is nothing in the bill that would pay people who are unwilling to work...and yet that is what the interviewer told people.

When am I going to see one of those "fact filled" posts of yours?

Did they?
Or is that just what you are claiming they did? Because you lie an awful lot, you know.
