Do tell.

Explain to the class how you can have 100% of the power demands in the US be zero-emissions, and still use gas, oil and coal.

This spin should be interesting.....

Again...the allegation was that the bill would make oil, gas and coal illegal. Where does it say that? Can you admit that it was false?

If you want to talk about the economics of the Cortez bill, open up another thread.
I know I used big words, but at least TRY.

Can you, or can you not, supply 100% power demands in the US as zero-emissions, WITHOUT coal, oil and gas.

You said YES.

I asked you to explain.

Can you explain it, or not?

Not talking economics. Talking the science of it.

Can you explain how, as you claim, you can provide 100% of the power requirements in the US as ZERO-EMISSIONS, without using oil, coal and gas?

I accept your concession.

Run along.:D
1. You are the one who alleged that the Cortez bill (a non-binding legislation) would somehow make oil, gas and coal illegal....and yet resort to insisting that somehow a non-binding "sense of the House" resolution would force them to close up shop.

2. and then challenge me to prove you wrong. You're wrong. You assume there is no economic benefit that could be seen by industries converting to renewable energy. You also assume that there would be no overseas market for those products, that those energy companies do not currently have renewable energy development projects and that they don't have non-energy uses for their products.

still waiting for one of those fact filled posts from you. Certainly none in this thread.

Because the college-brainwashed brats of the stockholders demand it. Wake up and smell the coffee, because Preppy-lovers are the ones being brewed.
Ah, the Stooge of Main Street speaks. Doesn't make much sense...but good to know you are still breathing.

1. Why would Exxon stay open if there is no gas/oil used? You clearly can't think more than 6 seconds into the future.

2. Oil/Gas companies have billions and billions invested in assets to find, extract, refine, distribute, and sell gas and oil. You think they will shitcan all that and move into electric cars just because some Bubbleheaded Dimwinger said so?

You are clueless.

With every tax policy change there are winners and losers. And just like restaurant reviews, the ones that have a bad experience will get played over and over in the media.

But most everyone got a tax cut. Some states that have crazy tax laws may have gotten a raw deal. Sort of like some of us got a raw deal with ACA and weren't able to keep our insurance policy.

It is what it is.

You only write about people who had to pay more in taxes. But you don't write about the 70% who got a tax cut, or the 20% whose taxes remain the same. You write about the 10% who pay more due to their states' laws.
"It Is What" They Make It to Be. And It Works—For Them.

All their data are picked and chosen. Even those with the highest GPAs are dumbed down to use that kind of thinking process.

Again...where is the legislation to outlaw oil or gas? Coal is on it's way out as a source of energy, but they are exploring other uses.

You assume that because the US minimizes the use of oil and gas for energy that the rest of the world will also, because of Cortez's "sense of the house" legislation?

Again....where do you get that they will be outlawed? Quit dancing around it and show me the proposed law.

Can we theoretically supply 100% of the power demands in the US with renewable energy? Yes.

Can I explain it? Yes.

Can you identify where Cortez's legislation would make oil, coal and gas illegal?

Can we theoretically supply 100% of the power demands in the US with renewable energy? Yes. You did not say 'theoretically. You said ti could be done. You're moving the goalposts.

Can I explain it? Yes. Then do so.

Can you identify where Cortez's legislation would make oil, coal and gas illegal? Can you show me where I made that claim, or are you just lumping me in with something someone else in the thread said?

You posted this:

nothing fictional in here...
https://apps.npr.org/documents/document.html?id=5729033-Green-New-Deal-FINAL

and this contains provisions the interviewer asked about

And that interviewer specifically said that the bill would outlaw gas,oil and coal.

This thread is about the false allegation that Cortez's bill would make those energy sources illegal. If you want to talk about the economics of a plan to supply 100% of our energy needs with non-polluting sources open up another thread.

who dies and made you the decider of what the threa is or is not about? I dont give a shit what someone else posted, asshat. I care about what I posted. You have continually failed to back up your statements, claimed I said things I did not, and moved the goalposts. I thought you might be worthy of coming off the Shit List. I was mistaken. Back you go, fvckwad.

It seems you also don't give a shit what you posted...since your post contained the legislation and attempted to claim it supported what the interviewer claimed...that the legislation would make oil, gas and coal illegal, that it would ban air travel...

Easy to tell when you know you've lost...when you resort to insults and name calling.

Of course it would be theoretical since the details of how to do it are not specified in the legislation. The answer depends on what could be done in the next 10 years.

You can call me a liar all you like. You just can't show evidence of a lie in any of my posts...so you make shit up. Wouldn't that make you a liar?
Denying it doesn't change anything. Everyone who has read any of our many, many exchanges over the years knows you're a liar.

A Foster Government

That's to be expected in a republic. Electing is not voting; it is a forced choice between pre-owned candidates who will do all the voting on the issues. This takes away self-determination from us, the people. Don't blame the victims of this glorified fraud.
It's like everyone forgot that they're supposed to be holding the dog's leash, and now the damn thing is running wild, pissing on everything, taking a shit on people's lawns, and humping everything it can get up on.

Your lack of a single post of mine to prove your allegation is more evidence of your integrity than mine. You made the accusation....put up or shut up.

Speaking of asshat, fvckwad and giving a shit....you wrote this

Can this....
'meeting 100% of the power demands in the United States through clean, renewable and zero-emission energy sources'
..occur without this...
outlaw gas, oil or coal'?

So the fact is that you were pushing the bullshit that somehow Cortez's bill was going to make gas, oil and coal illegal, even though you can't show where that is in the bill.
