The experiment in Venezuela

America and most of Europe has recognized the opposition leader (Gaido) as the rightful government even though Maduro is still in power. This is shiny new strategy and it looks like it is working. We have cut off Maduro and his whole regime from any money and trade they had going in the free world. We are sending humanitarian aid to Gaido's organization and we are talking to the military leaders behind Maduro's back.

Expect the military to toss Maduro in jail and turn over the government to Gaido... soon. The entire populace is in revolt, no one wants Maduro to stay in power.

regime change without invasion... very interesting.

officially... IOW, according to Maduro's regime.

But this is more than a coup, the world doesn't recognize Maduro, so he has been cut off from world trade.
“The world”=the U.S., its imperialist allies, and a few countries too afraid to oppose it.

The US and most of Europe. That is heavy economic pressure for Venezuela. You think it is no big deal? I think Maduro is going down.

Quote possible.
The whole nation is against him. And this economic squeeze we put on him is full tilt; all his top officials have their assets frozen also, and we are talking to his people; there is going to be a deal and Maduro's head is going to be delivered on a pike.

My sister-in-law came to America from Venezuela. She's got children and grand children back there. My brother has been there a few times, he tells me what's happening over there. When Maduro first came into power, I asked what was going on. He said it was just another strong man wanting absolute power. Bummer turn of events, cuz I liked Chavez, everyone liked Chavez. But this guy Maduro is bad news.
