No, but I looked up St Landry Parish, and it looks like a quiet rural area.

It's nice enough, good boudin in Opelousas...... but if I was driving around there looking for churches, the first 7 or 8 I found, would be "predominately black" ones.
My first trip to Louisiana, that was where I was taken, and I don't remember seeing another white person the whole trip.

There are small "predominately black" churches all throughout that area, many of them somewhat isolated from other structures on country roads..... they sit empty most of the time due to their small congregations, and only ever seem to have any people around on Sundays.
The larger Catholic churches in the area, tend to be bigger, located in a more central location (Fatima in Lafayette is on the main drag right in the middle of town) and simply seem to have more people there, more of the time. And those people are often armed.

Winston, I don't usually correct anyone's grammer, spelling etc. on these boards. But, there is one thing that I don't like to see. The proper nouns God and Lord should always have the first letter capitalized, not written with lower case letters.
This is one of the few things I remember from my English classes.

It is discussed. It is usually called masochistic personality disorder. You didn't know to look for that on your internet search. A genuine professional would have known where it's located. You walked straight into a trap.
While the designation of "Self-defeating personality disorder" was never adopted, it is covered in college classes. And IF you are in fact licensed, and IF you are of retirement age, you would have been aware of the discussions about it's inclusion several decades ago. You would have been a member of the American Psychological Association, and subscribed to one or more of it's journals, where the recommends were covered and discussed. Instead, all you can offer is "I checked the DSM." Not good enough, Julie.
