Here’s the Dems’ best impeachment strategy...

Bugsy McGurk

President
Base it solely on the Mueller report with one exception...

Subpoena Trump to testify before the House Committee as to his many instances of obstruction, as outlined in the Mueller report. Announce that they want to give Trump a chance to explain himself under oath.

Trump will refuse to testify, of course - the last thing that swine will ever do is answer questions under oath.

Then, when he refuses, impeach his fat ass and send it to the Senate. Force all the GOP senators to take a stand on Trump’s crimes.

Great strategy, right? It would highlight Trump’s crimes despite Barr’s flim-flam, tar Trump before the 2020 election, and wrap Trump’s crimes around the GOP senators’ necks.

Awesome.

;-)

Wingers claim that Trump and the GOP would benefit from an impeachment proceeding.

So, do wingers hope the Dem House employs the strategy suggested above?

Either way, you'll lose and be made a fool of yet again (as always), so I'm good with your approach.

The overarching point is that President Trump has been cleared of any wrongdoing, your wacky conspiracy theory blew up in your face dramatically and hilariously, and you're still counting ice cream scoops, whining, crying, bitching, and dodging. MAGA baby!

Well, their BEST strategy would be to let the matter drop. They aren't going to get Trump convicted in the senate, and there's no constitutional requirement that a sitting president come before a congressional subpoena. If they let the matter drop the media can continue to savage Trump 24-7 and the Democrats have a chance to win in 2020. If they do what they're doing now (pursuing an obvious witch hunt while dealing with interior squabbles over everything from Muslims and Israel to the #MeToo movement), they might as well not campaign for 2020.

Alright then, I have winger support for my impeachment strategy.

I’m sure we all look forward to hearing Trump squeal like a stuck pig when he gets subpoenaed to testify.

You miss the point. My impeachment strategy will allow for extra savaging of Trump and the GOP swine in the Senate who vote to support him despite 448 pages of details outlining Trump’s long list of crimes and other outrageous actions.

And when Trump refuses to testify it will be clear to the dumbest GOP rube in Kansas - Trump is guilty.

No, your strategy will allow Trump to be the blowhard he is, saying that investigation already cleared him (it has), and pointing out that the House has no right to subpoena a president. By subpoenaing him and allowing him to invoke presidential authority, your strategy will actually help him with the worst facet of his presidency -- it will make him look "presidential." Meanwhile, he will sell to his followers (via Fox and Limbaugh), the idea that this is a partisan witch hunt being done because the Democrats have never accepted the legitimacy of his election (in which he'll be largely correct). Everyone who voted for him last time will do so, plus some.

Yes, you have my full support for humiliating yourself and your sad, racist, deranged wreck of a party every day for the remaining six years of President Trump's administration.

A better strategy for the bitter clinging collusion/delusion conspiracy theorist would be to come to grips with the fact that Hillary lost.

New Hampshire Voter Stuns MSNBC Reporter on Mueller Report: ‘Democrats Need to Move on and Just Drop It’

“And what do you think the most important thing is now that the Mueller report is out? What do you want to see happen next?” the reporter asked.

“I think they just need to move on and just drop it…they just keep going forward. They’re not gonna get anywhere,” the voter said.

Voters don’t care about the Mueller report — real Americans care about immigration, jobs, wages, healthcare etc., not some garbage report written by biased lawyers in DC fighting for power.

Nevertheless, as you can see from the deluded posting on this forum, the Dems are indeed going full-speed ahead with their nutty conspiracy theory, undeterred by the smack-downs they've received from Trump, Mueller, Barr, and nearly every other intelligent person in the country. It's gonna be a blast to watch them go down with the ship.

A couple of notes:

1) It is actually a blessing that the Dems are so utterly Trump-focused. The Ways and Means, Financial, Judicial, and Intelligence committees are ALL busily chasing Trump, his taxes, his foreign links, his Justice Dept. Nadler, Schiff, Waters, etc., etc. Aside from how cartoonish this bizarre Trump fetishism is and how it will harm Dems electorally, it keeps them distracted from pursuing their actual liberty-crushing progressive collectivist agenda. These morons can’t keep their eyes on the ball.
This is a huge GIFT. One that lefty is far too stupid (and far too bitterly vengeful) to recognize. He can’t help himself.

2) Is there ever a time or day when Bugsy is not on this board. At any given time he has a minimum half-dozen top posts polluting the board. Yesterday, at one point, he had fourteen of them on page 1. This guy is not only a crazed liar and paid DNC hack, but he has no life, no other obligations whatsoever. He is never NOT here.

Lefties are nuts.

On your first point, I agree, but I've noticed the prevailing "wisdom" on the left is that they'll implement their fascist agenda as soon as Hillary is elected in 2020. Until then, they're deferring it while they get high and fantasize about impeaching President Trump.

That Trump and his cult supporters will lie goes without saying.

But the investigation did NOT clear him. Mueller teed up the obstruction issues for resolution by Congress, not Trump’s stooge AG who got the AG job by telling Trump there was no case. That’s half the point of doing the impeachment hearing - educating more people on the nature of the Trump/Barr flim-flam.

The other central reason is having Trump refuse to testify. Whether he is subpoenaed or just graciously invited to testify doesn’t matter. He will refuse to testify. He will not go anywhere near a Bible and answer questions.

And after Trump refuses to testify, the House would impeach his fat ass and send it to the Senate for an impeachment trial. Trump’s story will not even be before the Senate because he will refuse to testify. The contents of the Mueller report will have to be accepted as true. Ten separate instances of obstruction of justice. Uncontested. Put the GOP senators to the test - do they want to acquit the swine-in-chief?

It’s a no-lose proposition.

There are no instances of obstruction in the Mueller report, not ten. If there were any, Mueller would have concluded Trump obstructed justice. Why didn't he do that, Two Scoops?

Because Mueller is "in on it", right?

LOL

Obstruction is bases on intent, as pointed out by the AG. Trump was fully cooperative and gave the Mueller team all of the documentation that they asked for...and more. He had no intentions of obstructing this investigation. I would love to see democrats try and prove otherwise, especially after their failure in showing that there was even any collusion.

Trump “was fully cooperative”? By refusing to testify?

Ah, Trumplandia, where up is down, and down is up, and the wind blows foul.
