No, I didn't. All I did was describe people who make blanket statements. Pay attention, please.
Thank you.
You made a “blanket statement” about those who make blanket statements. Seriously, you even remain self-unaware when awareness is raised for you. :-/

No, I meant it looks ignorant to refer to all people in any group with the same description. You should say, "Some of...."
That would be more accurate.
If you're a teacher you should know that, Miss Jen. :D
You didn’t write “some of” in reference to those who make “blanket statements”. Got logic?

It also looks ignorant to lecture others for doing what you do.

We all limit our words here. Sometimes we say "some of" other times those words are, or at least should be, understood.

In the English language that is a correct way to address something. If we say "Relax", the "you" is implied. That lesson is learned in 4th grade English.

If a poster says "ALL Democrats are......." and you disagree, then that is the time to lecture.

If a poster says "Democrats are...." it can be assumed to be (by people well-versed in high school English anyway) on an as-the-shoe-fits basis.

Your lecture showed that you needed to call someone ignorant. That's all it did.

I'm glad I could help you understand English a little better.

If you say "Democrats think..." or "Lefty says...", that would likely be inferred as all or most. You wouldn't say that if you were talking about anything other than the majority or all.

For instance, you wouldn't say "Women are brunettes", because it wouldn't be accurate. Some women are brunettes, but my statement would be inaccurate, or at least not make a lot of sense, since not all women (or at least most) are brunettes.

You'll have to learn English on your own, Pal.
You have a long way to go.
