I spent a bit of...uhhh...quality time in the car today on a road trip. I had the chance to listen to his testimony and associated political hack responses. My two takeaways:
1) Stewart was genuine and mostly correct
2) Our politicians, irrespective of party, are clearly morons. And...by morons...I mean they suck to such a cosmic, intergalactic extent that I cannot find the words to accurately frame their character(s). And this...from a person who has been an engineer and technical writer throughout his career. Capturing and articulating accurate, specific detail is what I do.

...and I can’t get this done where our pols are concerned. :-(

All any of our politicians can do is spout out big old important sounding word salads. And the public laps that up as if it was the gospel ...........even though it doesn't make sense.

I'm sick of it.
Both parties.
Morons? YEP.

It was pretty sad with the sing a packed gallery, contrasted with the glaring absence of the majority of our elected
I have always enjoyed Jon Stewart, but a point of order...

He thought most of the Committee didn’t bother to show, but it was actually a subcommittee meeting and all members were present except for two of them, who have sponsored the funding bill. All the empty dais chairs created a misleading impression.

BTW, the funding bill will almost certainly be passed by the House. The real question is whether Mitch McConnell will allow a vote on it in the Senate. He proudly calls himself the “Grim Reaper” who kills off House bills in the Senate - his “legislative graveyard.” I believe the count of House-passed bills killed off by McConnell is now up past 140.

House is busy on a witch hunt. They don't have time to do the work of the American people. Thanks !
