redtide

Mayor
Yep, I have both calibers, military is offering $40,000 to enlist in Infantry, if I were 20 again I'd leave again tomorrow........now
I come from a military family but due to a condition I was born with they would not let me enlist.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
I own a H&K P7M13

H&K P7M13

It's a nice gun, but complicated. Mine broke and I had it to two different gun smiths who couldn't figure it out. I have to send it to a H&K armor specialist in Virginia to get it fixed. I hope this works out for them.

Yep sweet, I loved the M14 when I was in the Corps, it gave a whole new meaning to "Reach out and touch someone" and HK makes some great weaponry, I own an HK45 and it outshoots all the rest.

I should add that nothing is as accurate as a bolt gun, that's why the snipers use them.
Dad has two M14's, my issue was M-16 and I only use Bolts for big game hunting......243 w/Bull barrel for deer and .300 mag for bear

Anyone that thinks a German weapons manufacturer can get in trouble for selling weapons to the US is a moron...
https://www.dw.com/en/arms-exports-germany-trails-us-as-worlds-fourth-largest-supplier/a-47847393-0
Germany trails US as world's fourth-largest supplier
And they have laws about selling weapons of war. Misuse can cause a company to be fined. HK was just recently find by the German govt for this.

A German court says gunmaker Heckler & Koch skirted the law when it exported thousands of military-grade assault rifles to Mexican states struggling to cope with violent drug cartels, hitting the large company with a fine of 3.7 million euros ($4.2 million).

I see nothing in there about Trump misusing weapons supplied by this manufacturer. Perhaps you misunderstood my question, so I'll ask again...

what specific part of that addresses your concern that Trump will 'misuse' weapons supplied by a German manufacturer?

I did not say he was or would do so. I only stated that HK could be punished by the German legal system if he does.

HK will be okay as long as Trump doesn't misuse the weapons.

Otherwise the company could face prosecution in Germany.
You have yet to identify what constitutes 'misuse' by Trump.

When asked what would constitute 'misuse by Trump', you links to a German law regarding weapons sales, but again, did not specify what would constitute 'misuse by Trump.

So, I ask again...
what specific part of that (the German law YOU cited) addresses your concern that Trump will 'misuse' weapons supplied by a German manufacturer?

I already know the answer, so don't bother. You HAVE no answer. You simply ASSume that because it's Trump in the oval office, he will somehow misuse the German (or any other) weapons, somehow, some way.

Dismissed.

You need to read your own links next time...

A Stuttgart court ruled that Heckler & Koch broke Germany's War Weapons Control Act by sending more than 4,000 G36 assault rifles, ammunition and other weapons to a central government buyer in Mexico — where they were then distributed to areas seen as being at high risk for violence and human rights violations.

The guns, which were sold in 16 batches from 2006 to 2009, are believed to have been used in at least one high-profile murder case: the 2014 kidnapping and apparent killing of 43 students from a teachers college in Iguala, Guerrero.

At the time of the sales, German arms-makers were barred from exporting guns to Mexico's violence-plagued states

At the time of the Heckler & Koch sale to the United States, they were NOT barred from exporting weapons to the United States.

So, your example is horse shit. It specifically deals with the manufacturer selling where they were prohibited from selling. They are NOT prohibited to selling to the US, so there is NOTHING in the law, or anything you posted so far, to sup[port your contention that Trump will somehow 'misuse' the weapons, leaving the manufacturer iable for prosecution and fines.

You fail. Again.

Read my original post and show me where I said any of that ?

You are only taking part of the law and pretending that is the whole sum of it.

Trump as talked about putting armed military on the border to confront refugees. Do you think shooting people trying to surrender to our govt would qualify as misuse of a weapon of war ?

they are not trying to 'surrender to our government. They are trying to enter the country illegally, trying to subvert the law. Or, are you really stupid enough to seriously believe the President of the United States would order the US military to fire on people LEGALLY entering at established checkpoints?
