For those of you that think that Republicans are not inherently racist...

No I don't, your premise is a lie. I argue for giving everyone the same educational opportunities. It YOU who argues limiting people's educational opportunities and you support people who do limit educational opportunities.

I mean inner city poverty. Sorry, didn't mean to assume you understand racial issues.
Giving everyone the same educational opportunities would mean that whites aren’t more likely to get into their first-choice schools with substandard grades and test scores.

Inner city poverty is the result of conservative policy choices.

No, that's not improving opportunity, that's discrimination. The same opportunity would be that if a black student had the same test scores as a white student, they would be weighed equally.

What you want is to make whites and Asians pay for leftist policies.

Translation: I am afraid of having my nose rubbed in the truth again. So I will pretend my issue is with you and not with the evidence you are always able to provide.
No... I already know people are put in custody because of their illegal status and not their ethnicity. As I said, you are lying.

Most inner city communities haven't had a republican anything in over 50 years. Please tell me how it's their policies that are causing inner city poverty.

That's because whites tend to have a culture that has an emphasis on education while inner city drop out rates are near 50% . Social promotion also is a problem, with the black illiteracy rate near 75%.

Yes, some blacks and Latinos have to work harder to overcome the obstacles that leftists put in their path.
Blacks are more likely to place a strong emphasis on the value of education according to surveys and according to their voting preferences. They are more likely to check their kids’ homework regularly, more likely to spend an hour or more on homework every night, and more likely to have perfect school attendance. Higher dropout rates reflect not Black inferiority as you insinuate, but unequal opportunity.

Black literacy is 97%.

Bullshit

Here in the city where I live it's a 45% drop out rate and a 74$ illiteracy rate. LA and NY is much worse. 97% literacy rate is just plain bullshit.

Yet the test scores themselves reflect and perpetuate unequal opportunities.

Yes, for some reason when looking for politicians to defend them from the assault on their communities, they tend not to choose Republicans.

Conservatives policies promoting poverty:
Three strikes laws
Union busting
Opposition to affirmative action
Welfare cuts
Education cuts

Not rocket science.

Wait, so being on welfare makes you successful?

Again, how can republicans be responsible for education cuts when it's democrats who run the cities?

I will give you Affirmative Action, many republicans believe institutional racism is a bad thing while democrats still seem to embrace it.

How does union busting disproportionately affect inner city minorities?

Three strikes law? You mean the one California in all of their liberalness adopted? So keeping criminals off of the street is bad?

1. Welfare creates opportunities that people would not otherwise have.
2. Because they cut national- and state-level funding.
3. You can’t be against institutional racism and also against any effort to remedy it.
4. It doesn’t. It hurts all working people and often the labor aristocracy most of all. But it also shifts the political balance of power in favor of the ruling class that profits from the conditions in the slums.
5. Yes. Liberalism is just conservatism lite after all. Draconian sentences for minor offenses often cause much more social disruption than an appropriate sentence would.

The tests were produced by avowed racists who threw out questions as obviously misconceived if whites didn’t do better on them than Blacks. Since every new question has been tested by comparing students’ performance on it with students’ performance on the test overall, the cultural bias favoring whites has been perpetuated.

Moreover, Black scores have been shown to have been harmed by a racial anxiety phenomenon whereby fear of doing badly and thereby reflecting poorly on their race interferes with performance. Thus, racial gaps in achievement that show up when students are told a test will be used for tracking students disappear when students are told results will be aggregated and used to judge school performance.

Whites are also more likely to have educational advantages in the first place, including access to test-preparation courses.

No, welfare keeps people in poverty. Once you're dependent on welfare it's very difficult to get off of it. Entire generations of inner city minorities are suffering from this.

They? You mean there are no democrat governors? What about in those cities? How about LA and Chicago? Seems that the common denominator is, again, democrat run cities.

Again, institutional racism was banned a long time ago against minorities. The only institutional racism left is against whites and Asians.

It hurts those who are making a killing on benefits and tenure. It also opens opportunities for starting workers who can now find a job because the company can afford to pay them.

Classical liberalism is now libertarianism. Modern liberalism is fascist socialism. Conservatism isn't anything like either of them.

Even if that were the case, and it's complete bullshit, but even if it was, the test has been retooled several times in order to make it easier on minorities since the early 70s. It's supposed to be an unbiased measurement of academic proficiency. If the democrats were doing their jobs and making the schools in their districts as good as in other districts, it wouldn't be "racist" to know things.

1. The only reason people can become “dependent on welfare” is because the benefits aren’t enough to enable people to make other opportunities for themselves.
2. Democrats and Republicans work hand in hand. Again, liberalism is conservatism lite. It is a fact that conservatives generally push for the deepest cuts to education funding.
3. That is nonsense. Whites have racial advantages at every turn from education to employment to health care.
4. Lowering the share of the social wealth that goes to wages doesn’t help poor people. Multiplying the number of sweatshop jobs available only increases dependence on those sweatshop jobs.
5. Classical liberalism is libertarianism.”, i.e., modern conservatism. Modern liberalism is conservatism with a few concessions to humanity. “Fascist socialism” is a contradiction in terms.

Every time the test has been “retooled” the new questions have been calibrated by reference to performance on the existing (biased) tests. The College Board says it is a misuse of the tests to use them to measure schools’ success in educating students. Tests could be designed that Blacks consistently outperformed whites on ... it comes down to what knowledge is being measured. Schools’ success reflect the money available to them and the social burdens placed on them (a school that is the main source of food most of the year for many of its students has that much less of its budget available for computers, microscopes, or up-to-date textbooks).

People become dependent because, with any government giveaway program, once you become dependent, you count on it for your subsistence.

2. Democrats and Republicans work hand in hand. Again, liberalism is conservatism lite. It is a fact that conservatives generally push for the deepest cuts to education funding.
And yet schools out side of these democrat run districts not only do fine, but thrive. It's only in areas run by democrats that things are a problem.

3. That is nonsense. Whites have racial advantages at every turn from education to employment to health care.
I have already proven that is bullshit. Colleges discriminating against whites and Asians don't give them an educational advantage. In fact, it's a disadvantage.

4. Lowering the share of the social wealth that goes to wages doesn’t help poor people. Multiplying the number of sweatshop jobs available only increases dependence on those sweatshop jobs.
Actually, it does, When our state ended collective bargaining it not only allowed the hiring of 2000 new teachers, but allowed their starting wages to be increased.

5. Classical liberalism is libertarianism.”, i.e., modern conservatism. Modern liberalism is conservatism with a few concessions to humanity. “Fascist socialism” is a contradiction in terms.
Again, complete bullshit. Classical liberalism is a live and let live, small government ideology. Conservatism is a holding on of traditions and values that promote nationalism, such as strong defense and a strong adherence to law. Modern liberalism is an ideology that believes it is superior and as such attempts to stifle debate. It's a big intrusive government ideology that believes that the federal government should be all things to all people, particularly those in special groups, which fascist liberals give special dispensation to in the name of social justice.

1. How dependent can people be anyway if the percentage of Black income that comes from government transfer programs is 5%? If a majority of adults receiving cash benefits get them for less than 4 months and almost all get them for less than 2 years?
2. Feel free to back that up.
3. Colleges don’t discriminate against whites. In fact, race gives whites preferential access to college admissions.
4. Just see if it lasts. Fact: wages are lower in right-to-work states. Education levels are lower in right-to-work states.
5. “Holding on to traditions”=being convinced one’s ideology is superior. “Strong defense and a strong adherence to law”=big intrusive government which often requires stifling debate. A fascist government is a monolith that treats everyone equally before the law (supplemented by a mob out to get those with undeserved “special rights”) ... not “all things to all people.”
