In total, the U.S. was impacted by 14 separate billion-dollar disaster events: two tropical cyclones, eight severe storms, two winter storms, drought, and wildfires. The past three years (2016-2018) have been historic, with the annual average number of billion-dollar disasters being more than double the long-term average. Nonsense. Even many Republicans starting to reduce their global warming denial before Trump came along. But Trump viewed it as one of the issues he could use to dupe his rabble, so he used it. He then came in and did everything he could to sabotage both national and international efforts to address global warming.
