If Trump's call was "perfect," why did WH hide transcript?

John Eisenberg — a deputy White House counsel who serves as legal counsel to National Security Council sought to restrict access to a phone call record where Trump spoke explicitly about his demands of Ukraine president.

Why hide it and tell everyone not to talk about it?

Trump thinks he can read it in a fireside chat, but then he always admits guilt and expects his base just to believe whatever he does is okay.

Trump was very bold with his lying strategy on this episode.

The whole White House went into freakout mode when Trump did his shake down, and part of the response was to shape the “transcript” and then bury it in the ultra classified server. They were hoping it never saw the light of day.

But, thanks to the whistleblower, America learned about what Trump did. Trump then knew that they would never be able to keep the “transcript” hidden from Americans, so Trump had it released and he did so coupled with his “perfect call” lie despite how damning it was. Truly the Goebbels Big Lie strategy.

Trump and Baghdad Barr did the same thing with the Mueller report with their “No collusion! No obstruction!” Big Lie.

They make Goebbels look like a piker.

Since Trump has no notion of what's right or wrong....and doesn't care, he thought he could say what happened i.e confess and everyone would accept it. He claimed there was no quid pro quo....because extortion and shakedowns have been his business style. Why it would be wrong as president, he does not know...or care.

His audacity also led him to volunteer that he also wanted China to go after Joe Biden. His way of saying “I did nothing wrong. And to prove it I’m doing it again!”

His rabble love such antics.

Do you have real proof? Your link suggests...But it doesn't prove.

A partial record was released. The part Trump stupidly thought was "perfect" where even Republican senators recognized as a shake down of Ukraine for Trump's personal benefit.
TalkingPointsmemo ? Oh a wacko leftist site as a source (yawn)

It was released.

Just like when the Mueller report was released and my very dim base said that wasn't enough either ?

lol

Actually, Baghdad Barr continues to hide much of the Mueller report to this very day.

But your lie is noted.

Oh You wanted him to break the law and release the unredacted report.

Your idiocy, butthurt and partisanship is noted.
Nope. To take one example, Baghdad Barr could ask the courts for leave to release the grand jury information. Instead, he’s litigating against such efforts. To take another example, he has hidden material on the grounds that it is “embarrassing.”

If you stayed out of the right wing echo chamber you would know such things.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/rules/frcrmp/rule_6

Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6(e), which enshrines the traditional rule of grand jury secrecy, establishes exceptions that allow grand jury materials (such as transcripts of witness testimony) to be disclosed to certain outside parties in limited circumstances.

This is standard, because it is standard.

Silly question to be honest. If you want to start launching politically motivated investigations that fall flat and then just release all the embarrassing information we're gonna move past civil discourse reeeeal quick and get to the fun part

Butthurt isn't a limited circumstance.
