Schiff wasn't a witness to any of the events under investigation in the impeachment inquiry. If he did anything wrong that would be for another inquiry or ethics review. It is irrelevant to the events in question in this one.

On the other hand Trump, Guliani, Mulvaney and Pompeo were involved in the events under investigation in this inquiry. Their testimony would clear it up one way or the other.

Of that is true it may be a relevant subject for an ethics investigation.

It is wholly irrelevant to the content of the whistle blowers complaint, all of which has been independantly verified by other testimony under oath.
