if all Sandmann did was stand there, which is true to a certain extent, except when you put the whole event in perspective- an old, obviously a little goofy old Indian guy, banging a tiny drum, obviously no threat to anyone, for some reason decides to walk through a throng of 30 or so high school boys bused in to a dumbass anti-choice protest in Washington DC from Kentucky to make the protest seem larger, who have decided to wait for their bus home on the steps to a public monument, that should be kept free from a throng of clownish boys so those who want to go up the steps can do so without having to go through such a crowd, this sandmann kid, to the delight of his silly high school homies, decides to not stand aside as this old dude walks towards him. NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. no big deal. not racist, not bigoted, not violent, BUT RUDE. DISREPECTFUL...and not the way any church or school would want any kids to treat an old man, even if he was the one deciding to walk thru the crowd, instead of going around. IN SHORT, no big deal but the kid could have handled it a lot better, since the other kids seemed to look up to him, maybe he could have shaken the old guy's hand, with a real smile, not a sneer, and stepped aside, as most kids are taught to do so an elderly person can pass by or go first.
it is true that the kids were mocking the old man, BECAUSE HE WAS PRETTY GOOFY- chanting and banging a little drum while walking through them as they blocked the steps...what group of kids would not make fun of that? but i didn't see it as bigoted as much as just kids acting as a mob being unruly kids, and i do not remember any CNN reports or other media that lied about what happened and no one can seem to provide any to back up their claims he did.
even the kid's own church related school admonished their behavior!! did he sue them, too? since when is it wrong to watch an event happen and describe it the way you want as long as it matches the video?
