Wisconsin judge orders that 200,000 voters be stricken from the rolls

Of course they were registered. They couldn’t be purged if they weren’t registered in the first place. And the fact that some voters may be able to circumvent the purge does not justify the purge.

Once upon a time this nation cherished voting rights.
yes, they were. but no longer. (was the no i meant).

Voting rights are still cherished.

as noted..anyone affected..can still vote (that is the voting right you refer to, that I affirm, remains cherished and unaffected)

People who cherish voting rights do not selectively purge 200,000 voters from the rolls.

This is Republican Vote Suppression 101. They do it in every blue/purple state....when they're not doing other stuff like moving or eliminating polling locations in heavy Democratic districts, or closing DMVs making it harder to get a state photo ID, etc.

Republicans win when turnout is low, Democrats win when turnout is high.

Trump won Wisconsin by 23,000 votes in 2016. The litigation in question was brought by a right wing group. Likely Dem voters would, of course, be disproportionately affected.

The latest chapter in the GOP’s war on voting rights...

Anoth grea news story. Trump would have won by 500k if the Libtars had not cheated and had all those dead people vote. About time they start making the voting fair.

And as courts have found, GOP voter suppression laws target minorities and other likely Dems voters with “surgical precision.”

If their voter suppression laws strike two Dems for every Republican, the math works out very well for them at election time. They have such unpatriotic schemes down to a science.

That my fellow posters is a textbook example of DNC trolling at it's finest.

Good job Bugs. I am sure Tom Perez is all puffed up like a proud papa rooster!

hmm. no, it seems they were asked to validate address within a period of time and they did not.

meanwhile, if there is an issue they can re-register de-moment at the polls..
Voter caging is illegal. As it should be, since the only purpose is to disqualify eligible and duly registered voters, disproportionately those who are poor and/or uneducated.

That's great but nobody's talking about voter caging. What is under discussion here is individuals who either have not voted in a period of time or who may have passed away, moved and so forth

Meanwhile as I noted in an earlier post an individual can re-register at the moment at the polls

So, in reality no one is disqualified
