my post stands. Trump has made an effort to blame anyone and everyone...he has said it isn't a problem, but now it is. He is the worst leader I've seen since Jimmy Carter.
Your post stands and my translation is accurate. I never said that you weren't saying what you believe. I was translating what you meant...and there it is again:

He is the worst leader I've seen since Jimmy Carter.
Because Biden.

He said there were 15 about 4 times...he mentioned, vaguely, that where were 42 more that we "took in"....just once. Anyone listening would here him minimize the outbreak.
odd. i provide verbatim what was said. seems plainly evident he acknowledged both sets,, yet tried to distinguish US from ex-US cases. and that we are taking care of both sets.

anyway. shouldnt you, or maybe a designee...be attacking him for letting those 42 back in. i mean, i'm slow to learn...but it does seem to me that that would be an appropriate next step in the process of assessing blame for all things.....

No quarrel here - Trump sent 17.8 tons of PPE to China early on. No doubt the result of Trump ignorantly thinking the epidemic wouldn’t strike here, leading to interviews with our own medical workers, crying because they don’t have the PPE they need.
amazing the hospitals suddenly aren't responsible for having ppe.

especially after that last ebola scare and huge amount of flu in 2018.

PNWest loves farmers. I just don't think that you can do what you do well enough to compete. If you could we would not have to give you all of those handouts would we?

When I wrote software the government didn't give me money to write it. If it worked well I made money. If I did a crappy job my company went bankrupt. That's real capitalism. The handouts that farmers receive are nothing but socialism. It's a shame that you can't admit that.

As to God loving farmers. Yes he does. As PNWest does. I'm OK with the Agricultural subsidies to family farms (not big Ag though). It was liberals that gave you all electricity, phone and internet as well as the roads you use. We did that to make America stronger. It's liberals that made America great.

As to handouts to poor urban people - I'm OK with that too. I'd much rather see my tax dollars go to feeding or healing a hungry or sick person than to endless wars that conservatives always support. And that's way I wish you and your father well. That's what GOOD Christians do. It's the fake ones that spread Death and Disease like Jerry Falwell Jr and the rest of those fake Christians.
Well, we're just a family farm that started 50+ years ago with used tractors and combines with 4 row headers and worked our way up to farming 10,000+ acres and now with 16 row corn headers and 40' grain heads, none of it was given it was gained through long hours of work, oh, we don't own the whole 10,000 acres only 8000 and rent the rest yearly usually $70 an acre.

I don't care for doctors, lawyers, politicians and such buying up big farms and never plant or harvest and get fed $, but it is what it is.

I don't for TV preachers and just heard a mower and looked out and my 96 year old dad is mowing the shop/office yard, went out and ask, what you doing, he said don't worry I'm not setting in the house!

Why do you have to post something like this every now and then to remind me that deep down you are a decent human being?

i'm not sure how to engage anymore... when there were only 15 patients in the US. are you saying it was wrong to cite that there were only 15 patients in the US?

LEt's start right there.

No further.. let's just tackle that one small point, absent embellishment, or bringing in any other thing...

right or wrong to note that there were only 15 at that time...

yes. i agree wholeheartedly....everybody that is an armchair QB is correct in hindsite..
Given the shortage of test kits, which exists to this very day, it hasn’t been accurate on any given day to say how many people were/are infected. The numbers then, and now, relate only to cases confirmed through testing.

Not really amazing when you consider that this is a once/hundreds years pandemic caused by an extremely contagious virus that requires hospitalization and intensive medical treatment for 15% of its victims. States do not prepare for such a thing. There are supposed to be federal stockpiles of such materials, as well as a pandemic response team, which Trump abolished.

As I said, every number cited since Day 1 is the number of cases confirmed through testing - a subset of the actual number of cases.

yes. and here we are discussing those 43 and 15 confirmed cases. are you intending to focus on that?

Argumentation sometimes leads to truth.. turns out that the US...US agencies and the CDC were in the fight against covid much earlier that the crazed would have us all believe. as early as Jan 6 the US agencies were trying to keep it over there... Canada too.. Offering expert help to China, and aid. Much much earlier that som would have you believe.

Sadly, that didnt wrk, but at least we all dont have to fight over the timing of US action anymore. Sigh.

So our system is even worse than we imagined. Interesting.

"once/hundreds years pandemic"

CDC says we have two (2) pandemics presently, COVID-19 & Swine Flu and swine flu isn't "one/hundreds years" it came in 2009 and has never left just as C-19 will remain for years.

Obama tried to CUT CDC funding for 8 years...……..
