GOTPer's 'big tent' looks pretty damn small, doesn't it?

Actually this new congress is a BIG improvement for Republicans

Before the last election they had 0 African Americans and fewer Hispanics

But as is it's still a pretty small tent

A coupla things jump out. First of all, as worked up as the politic is around the Hispanic electorate these days, it's actually the Asian demographic that's currently growing fastest in the U.S. And....35-1 in terms of the Jewish vote?....Who'da thunk it, by the fear hate-mongering we have to listen to around "Obama the Muslim"?

When it comes to the growth of the Asian demographic we are just finding that information out. So we'll see how it plays. But since a lot harder for large numbers of poor exploitable immigrants to travel from Asian to the US and also since they are politically the least high profile group. I don't see the reaction you have with Hispanics.

As for the 35 -1 Jewish ratio, well I don't see how many Jewish people would side with a party that embraces them with one hand while publicly crossing the fingers of the other on the hopes Israel would be destroyed so Jesus can hurry up and come back. When you realize the only Jewish Republican is Eric "the weasel" Cantor then it makes perfect sense.

the thing that jumped out at me is that the only christians listed are catholic. where are the rest of them?
I listed Catholic because they are a largest distinctive Christian denomination in congress. Trying to include all the versions of Christianity listed would have been difficult, complicated and full of minutia I wasn't sure about.
