The term genocide and it being codified into international law didn't occur until 1961. and by the time the term was coined (1946) Hitler wasn't feeling too well or at all for that matter.
But before that there was this little dust up where the nation of the world did come together and try to stop his other ambitions. I suspect you've heard about it.

Were you even listening to Pirro? She said that all government rampant killings of its people is wrong........not just that of chemical weapons. She asked why the Obama administration didn't at least start gathering a coalition of Christians, Kurds, and ME countries as well as our other allies 2 years when Assad started systematically killing his own people...........over 100,000 Syrians have been killed by the Assad regime in the last 2 years. Why did Obama just take notice when chemical weapons were used? Weren't the other deaths important too?
You seem to have grabbed someone's talking point that screeched without using context. Unless, of course, you are with Obama in thinking that only people who die by chemical weapons are important and that the other 100,000 deaths are meaningless.

Oh and the US gathering together and siding with specific religious and ethnic groups certainly wouldn't put an official and indelible religious and ethnic stamp on what was supposed to be a secular and all encompassing movement. No doubt for sure that all of the non Christians and non Kurds would line up to be ruled US backed by regional minorities.

Every debate concerning a reaction to Syria revolves around the fact that he lied to the world about this issue. Quit pretending it didn't happen or that it is ancient history. People are still dying in Iraq today because of his lies.

Yeah, almost assuredly he did. Syria makes its own chemical weapons with the acquisition of precursors facilitated by the Russians. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Putin is protecting his investment there. And it doesn't come as a surprise that right wingers are his useful idiots in this regard. Hoisting him up on their shoulder and parading him around as a foil to Obama.
Hating this president comes first and everything else comes second for cons these days.
