    Retired computer software designer (formerly a physicist and garbage man too). Used to live in a metropolitan area, but "went feral" after I retired a moved with my wife to the country. Our house is in an area considered "county" by even the residents of a nearby county town. I later became (health issues) too much of a burden to my wife (same age), so I live in a nursing home with WiFi now. Garbageman was my favorite job, no stress but it pays very little.
