This is a real political party.

No tea sipping and then loyally voting Republican for this group. They had the courage of their convictions to actually register as a competing political party. It's not so difficult, really.

Not only is the Christian Party of America a legitimate political party, they are also affiliated with numerous registered state level Christian Parties, as indicated on their website.

The state of Tennessee now has a candidate for the 2016 US presidential election running on the Christian Party ticket. It will be interesting to see how much support he can muster. Are Americans ready to support an open call for theocracy?

It doesn't sound like they would be super-friendly to Catholics. Two, it does not seem that their core principles are peculiarly "Christian". Third, I think in the common objections section they say they are not seeking a theocracy, per se.

We already have a theocracy-friendly Party....the Republican Party.

Fortunately, the Leadership's support for the Theocrats....is a self-interested LIE.

As to a future Theocracy Party?....unlikely, even if the GOP imploded and re-built itself as a real libertarian party and eschewed the Social Cons.

The "pro-lifers", homophobes, "get prayer back in school", "America is for Christians (fundamentalist of course) only" types.....have no where else to go but to stick with the GOP.

They'd never completely 100% make themselves impotent by going 3rd Party.

Why is that?

I don't know. These days, "Christian" appears to mean different things to different Christians. Who defines what is or isn't "Christian"?

Third, I think in the common objections section they say they are not seeking a theocracy, per se.
And you accept that argument at face value? What would you call what they are seeking, if not a theocracy?
