Our America Hating President.

Obama goes to the UN and equates a shooting, in which no decision or charges have yet been decided, in a town in Missouri and equates the United states with the Russians invading the Ukraine and ISIS beheading Americans, British citizens and Frenchmen in public an on video.

If that isn't proof of Obama's opinion of the United States, I don't know what is. And he's president. What a absolute disgrace this man is.

You can either read the full text of the President's speech... or cherry pick those few words you right wing fanatics choose to. It's a shame that we have so many who would rather American fail than see this President fulfill his term in office.

The exerpt below is the ONLY reference made to Ferguson, MO in the entire speech. The reference... IN CONTEXT... tells how much better America is than other societies that do not enjoy the same democratic processes, freedoms, and liberties as do we. The ENTIRE speech extolls how great America is. Why people post such garbage, condemning a speech that actually tells how exceptional the U.S. is is beyond me!!!

"I realize that America’s critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within our own borders. This is true. In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri – where a young man was killed, and a community was divided. So yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. And like every country, we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization and greater diversity with the traditions that we hold dear.
But we welcome the scrutiny of the world – because what you see in America is a country that has steadily worked to address our problems and make our union more perfect. America is not the same as it was 100 years ago, 50 years ago, or even a decade ago. Because we fight for our ideals, and are willing to criticize ourselves when we fall short. Because we hold our leaders accountable, and insist on a free press and independent judiciary. Because we address our differences in the open space of democracy – with respect for the rule of law; with a place for people of every race and religion; and with an unyielding belief in the ability of individual men and women to change their communities and countries for the better."

Sorry but we are not 'like every other country. We don't stone women or behead journalists and aid workers.

Another glaring example of your dishonesty...

This is the "like every country" part..

we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization and greater diversity with the traditions that we hold dear

But, as we know, cons need to truncate quotes for their own purposes.

IMHO, our POTUS is going to go down as one of the truly great POTUS in our history. He is the embodiment of the American spirit. He is honest, humble, brave, courageous, brilliant, measured, pragmatic and principled. The right wing hates him because they know it and it drives them nuts.

Cringe-worthy.
I thought Bush's little wrong words (strategerie) were sort of cringe-worthy...........but the things Obama does have actual negative consequence, actual bad things happening from those gaffes.

Obama could save a dog from a raging river and you would complain that he should have saved the cat in the tree first.

Coming from you, that is a compliment. ODS is a difficult disease to treat. My proctologist suggested that you get a full exam by experts. He recommends a night in the Castro for you, make sure to get really drunk.

Had a colonoscopy in July. Didn't find so much as a polyp. Recommended a 10 year schedule. I had to have an operation on my back though. It went bad from carrying the weight of all those Liberals on it for so many years.

Why of course not, Fox News will live for eons retelling our history for future ODS survivors offspring. I hate to break to all you suffering minorities but Obama has been an excellent President and nothing you think or say will change that fact. History will judge him well unless of course we descend into some form of quasi-Christian hell hole of Dickensian fortunes where up is down, porridge is dear and Sarah Palin wins a Nobel Peace Prize for her work in keeping Isis from destroying Wasilla.

You really live in a dreamworld.

Well....if Sarah wins a Nobel Peace Prize for that, at least we can say she actually did SOMETHING to get it.

I'm a "fan" of David Brooks. That's probably too bad for him, since people on both sides of the "divide" seem committed to hating his guts!

Today in my morning paper, he posted an interesting piece (to me anyway!) about order and creativity. In this instance, I suppose I was a little taken aback since I tend towards the exact opposite of any definition of "order"! In any case, Brooks speaks highly here, of Obama's UN speech. Traditional conservatives might consider what he has to say.

obamas peace prize given to him for being our first black president was an embarrassment...at least they could have waited until he had done something, anything..but they got a little premature...and upon reflection,,i bet they have second thoughts..

I expected one of you to acknowledge my last remark about Wasilla and Isis to be of particular originality and humor. I was hoping for a laugh, surely you smiled just a little bit at that one...lol
