President Barack Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to two Vietnam veterans on Monday — one living and one who died in combat.

Army Spc. Donald P. Sloat, deceased.

Army Command Sgt. Maj. Bennie G. Adkins, pictured below.

As most all Medals of Honor recipients will tell us, the award isn't just in recognition of them personally. It's also in recognition of the thousands of others who fought and perhaps died, in their time and place.

On that note, it's good to seem some veterans of Vietnam being honored. That there were "issues" with that war, doesn't dismiss the fact of these men and women being Americans fighting an American war.

Very deserving honor and recognition to them and to all of the others serving, it looked like a happy occasion judging by their smiles.

Ya sorta make my point. There are instances where your fear/hatred of Obama or Julie, or some people's disdain for the Vietnam War itself, should be set aside.
His own insecurities about himself apparently makes 'martian' lash out with vile comments to others. Bless his heart.
