Saudi Arabia Beheaded 59 People So Far This Year — But Hardly Anyone is Talking About It

AIL

Jet fuel that's a good one.
Yep
Your partner in the fight against ISIS along with Four other Despots in the Middle East; initially all of them were supporting the so Called Rebels in Syria.

Americans and Europeans were out raged by the beheadings of three western people two Yankees and one Brit.

However your main partner in crime beheads all year long and far more people then ISIS does.
Yet no one says any bad things about the Saudis Kings...
Is it because all of these beheadings are all Arabs. I guess not Western governments and US accuses Assad of atrocities "He kills his own people." Assad is a very bad man and his has to be replaced (regime change)
But Saudi kings are never replaced no calls for regime change here. Why? They are a loyal puppets.

Whenever the Saudis do atrocities its OK . It gets an approval from Washington.

And theirs are not psy ops - as were the so talked about beheadings - they were psy ops - Saudi does it for real - Fridays are punishment days.

I admire your persistence in posting the truth in the face of stiff opposition, AIL. You have more faith in these posters than I do. You may succeed in waking up some citizens to the evil their government is perpetrating (in partnership with Israel) on the peoples of West Asia, and in spite of the attacks by Sayanim and assorted other fools, who think you hate America. You may even succeed in restoring their conscience, since the majority of them now display the same kind of insensitivity and hardness (toward other peoples' plight) one encounters in Israel. Nowadays, our citizens behave more like Israelis than traditional Americans.

What is it you want us to do about it?

It's hard having to yield to devils when fighting a larger one. (cue Russia WW2)

I suspect the House of Saud are having to appease the zealots in their land in order to keep the throne.

You don't have to do anything just pointing out the hypocrisy.
Everything you do turns into disaster the best you can not is to mind your own business leave other nations and its people alone.

Well that sure shows a high level of ignorance or callousness towards the sufferings of one's fellow man.

For someone who cannot find enough reasons to vilify Israel, I would have thought you might have a more informed opinion on other matters in the M.E.

I have lots on empathy for all those that are oppressed.
I post here because of the callousness of your American goveremnmt killing millions of innocent people...

You seam not know these obvious facts..

So hear is a little history lesson for you. Please take the time to READ about the horrors your government's foreign policy of destruction have caused to all these countries.

This section attempts to answer the question:
Why is the USA so frequently the victim of resentment around the world?
The USA government blames hatred of democracy and envy at the American way of life for this resentment. Many people in the USA and a majority around the world look towards USA foreign policy for the answers. Much of this policy, its history and consequences is under-reported by the American media.

The American people are generally a friendly, kindly and compassionate people. If they knew one tenth of what their governments get up to around the world and in their dealings with foreign governments and people, there would be an enormous outcry. For this reason much is hidden or obscurred. Since the terrible events on 11 September 2001, many Americans have taken to the internet to find out more about the world beyond their borders.

However, when you read these items, do not simply believe everything - always check for yourself. Treat the stories and quotes in these pages as pointers and use the information to find out more. Learn to think and check all information. The facts are there if you look for them.
These pages are dedicated to all victims of private or state terrorism regardless of nationality, race,
gender, religious belief (or otherwise), or political views.

Tables and Lists of USA Actions Since 1945
USA Backed Coups[/paste:font]
Military coups and changes of government, planned, organised or backed by the USA. The reasons given (Communism, terrorism, drugs, fundamentalism) are compared with the actual reasons (oil, minerals, political influence, business interests, military bases).

USA Interventions[/paste:font]
Military or political interventions, invasions, bombings, military aid, sanctions, and terrorist activity by the USA against countries and popular movements. As with coups, the reasons given for the interventions are usually very different from the actual reasons. Many of these actions remain secret for many years.
USA UN Vetos[/paste:font]

In the United Nations (UN), there are five countries that can veto a UN resolution. These five are the permanent members of the Security Council: USA, UK, France, Russia, and China. The USA has used its veto more times than all the other countries put together. This is a list of UN resolutions vetoed by the USA. The record of the USA voting patterns is generally under reported in the Western media.
USA Companies[/paste:font]

This is the involvement of USA owned companies in activities around the world. Often undemocratic regimes are favoured because of their harsh or non-existant labour laws, lax pollution controls, low taxations and lack of human rights.
USA Nuclear, Biological and Chemical[/paste:font]

The USA military budget is higher than the combined total of the next fifteen countries. The USA possesses nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. This is a listing of their use and testing around the world.
USA Victims of Foreign Policy[/paste:font]

Victims of terrorism who are American or Western are publicised around the world's media. Their lives are commemorated and their deaths mourned. This is a conservative estimation of the numbers of victims of USA foreign policy (direct and indirect). Most of these figues are available in the public domain but are not publicised.

It is my opinion that you suffer from selective blindness. You also suffer from selective positioning in the Middle East. You and few others on this board revel in finding any act of militarism that Israel has engaged in and then count the dead bodies. You ignore the malevolent spirit in certain enemies they are fighting against and the untold atrocities this “spirit” has inflicted upon Israel without just cause, and inflicted upon its own people, and its Arab neighbors. That, is the enemy Israel and the Jews have had to defend themselves against for more than 100 years now.

Back to the USA. I doubt they sacrificed 30,000 or more American lives in Korea because there was oil or rice to be harvested. I doubt they also changed into a demon after WW2. Yes, we all know there are untold secret government operations with ulterior motives going on all the time. Yes, we know corporations hold a lot of sway in political decisions. But we also know that occurs in all nations where it can be exercised. We also know this. Communism is an atheistic demonic enterprise. It has murdered hundreds of millions and oppressed untold millions more. The only nation that has stood up against this avaricious evil has been the United States. So whether we play fair or play dirty, the endeavors, by and large, on our part have been honorable and costly. I am sure there are 20 nations or more surrounding Russia glad to be out of their clutches and subjugation. Red China has been just as evil or worse. Yet, you don’t count all those deaths and sufferings. You only look at the USA, just like you only look at Israel and not its enemies’ list of horrors.

Maybe when you can see what the Bible tells us ---- i.e., we war not against flesh and blood but against the evil spirits in the air ---- then you will be able to understand why though imperfect we still must defend the defenseless and fight against the greater evil. I suppose if we had freed Cuba from communism in the sixties a lot of innocent people would have died. But I bet they would still have been immeasurably grateful for our acts of bravery (even if our U.S. corporations would have benefited.)

So leave the Iraq war out of our discussions, because I admit great failures or mistakes have been made by our nation. Just realize that without the USA willing to sacrifice its own soldiers for the good of the greater world, Russia and China would be the entire planets overlords and evil tyrants.

You are the typical ignorant Yankee. There was never a communist threat nor was the falling dominoes theory correct. Is was as usual all Yankee propaganda to keep you in fear so that the military industrial complex can profit by invading other countries and subjugate its citizens for the benefit of US corporations all at your expense . Whenever you hear these words"protecting American interest" these are propaganda words the correct words should be "Protecting corporate America interest at your expense"

If you have a chance watch the recent documentary from Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick " The Untold History of The United States America." They prove there was never a communist threat it was all faked and it worked on you the gullible Yankee public.

Or listen to the words of General Smedley Butler a true American hero.

Review
"Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick have done what many would consider impossible. They have written a political history of the United States in the 20th Century that tells us exactly how the United States became an empire through conscious decisions, and how the struggle to maintain that empire will go on despite which political party holds office. It is a brilliant survey of the untold story." (Lloyd C. Gardner, author of The Road to Tahrir Square)

“Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick provide a critical overview of US foreign policy during the past few decades. There is much here to reflect upon. Such a perspective is indispensable…At stake is whether the United States will choose to be the policeman of a “Pax Americana,” which is a recipe for disaster, or partner with other nations on the way to a safer, more just and sustainable future.” (President Mikhail Gorbachev)

“A brave revisionist study which shatters many foreign policy myths… the Stone-Kuznick team grapples with the unsavory legacy of American militarism. . . . Make room on your book shelf for this compelling leftist primer.” (Douglas Brinkley, New York Times bestselling author of The Great Deluge)
"Howard [Zinn] would have loved this ‘people’s history’ of the American Empire. It's compulsive reading: brilliant, a masterpiece!” (Daniel Ellsberg, author of Secrets: A Memoir of Vietnam and the Pentagon Papers)

“Finally, a book with the guts to challenge the accepted narrative of recent American history… This is the 'Washington didn't really chop down the cherry tree' book for our last hundred years." (Bill Maher)

“Kuznick and Stones’ Untold History is the most important historical narrative of this century.” (Martin Sherwin, Pulitzer Prize-winning co-author of American Prometheus)

"By casting a spotlight on the shadier aspects of America's past, as well as the humane alternatives, Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick provide a thought-provoking rebuttal to the nationalist myths that are far too often served up as history. They remind us that, until Americans have the courage to confront reality, they will remain trapped by their illusions." (Lawrence Wittner, author of One World or None: A History of the World Nuclear Disarmament Movement Through 1953)

"Stone and Kuznick provide a boldly critical view of the most painful aspects of American history. Their perspective on nuclear danger is especially illuminating. They make clear how close we have come to the ultimate human absurdity of annihilating ourselves as a species with our own technology. One thinks of the Enlightenment motto, "Dare to know!" The knowledge we gain can be a source of powerful wisdom." (Robert Jay Lifton, author of Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism)

"We won't be able to manage America's future if we don't know its past. In their Untold Story, Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick peel away layers of misleading myth about America in the 20th century. Some will be surprised, others angry. Most will understand their nation much better, especially the young. Then perhaps we can move forward in the new century." (Jeff Madrick, author of Taking America)
It’s time for serious people to confront rather than avoid or attempt to denigrate the profound challenges raised by Stone and Kuznick. They are asking (and answering!) all the right questions. (Gar Alperovitz, author of The Decision to Use the Atomic Bomb)

Many books have been written about specific episodes of American intervention and military aggression. And yet the master narrative remains intact: the US is the "indispensable nation," relied upon by people and nations around the world to preserve the peace and defend freedom. The immense contribution of The Untold History of the United States is to shatter the conventional wisdom, challenging readers to re-conceptualise the American role in the world...Everyone, who reads The Untold History will learn something new and be compelled to examine long held assumptions. For students of US history, this is an invaluable work. (Carolyn Eisenberg, author of Drawing the Line: The American Decision to Divide Germany, 1944-1949)

"A fascinating and provocative work. This courageous and clear-minded account of American history and the foundations of the American empire is a milestone in a surprisingly small genre of books, namely, critical history written of and for the people. It should have the widest possible reading." (Bruce Cumings, author of The Korean War)

"Kuznick and Stone tell the untold history of the United States--the often disastrous consequences of American exceptionalism and global domination--with passion and clarity... beautifully illustrated, well-argued, and compellingly written." (Marilyn Young, author of The Vietnam Wars)

"The Untold History of the United States is one of the most important books of our time. Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick disabuse us of the popular notion that this country has always been a force for good in the world. They document the tragic consequences of U.S. imperialism, the commission of war crimes, and the decimation of civil liberties under the guise of the ‘war on terror’. This work should give us pause whenever we are asked to uncritically accept the idea of American exceptionalism. " (Marjorie Cohn, author of Cowboy Republic: Six Ways the Bush Gang Has Defied the Law) --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

About the Author
Oliver Stone has won numerous Academy Awards for his work on such iconic films as Platoon, Wall Street, JFK, Born on the Fourth of July, Natural Born Killers, Salvador, and W.

One little amendment :) - there had been a communist threat at one point, because it was appealing to 'the people' but the US chooses which communists they will and won't back - ie Stalin they did back to the hilt - because free trade and freedom from interest on loans and so on - freedom to plant what crops they liked, was far more fearful -

On a tangent.....

It's sorta "funny*" how worked up we westerners get around beheadingism. It hints me at how aghast people can be about our affinity for eating dead pig! And...I imagine that if I were in a position where I had to choose how I might have to die in a fit of anger, I might actually choose an efficient and skillful beheading!

We'll note that these ISIL pathetics don't bother beheading those Easterners with whom they take issue. They just shoot 'em. Why's that? Might it be that they realize that beheading is guaranteed to freak us all out?

*No...I'm not advocating for either ISIL or "beheadment", so save your bytes.

Timelines vary and history is little more than a look at the terrible practices of the past.

So...ever been to the Tower of London?
