Yeah, me too, eight "dislikes" in a single thread all from the same person; another person following around my posts to mark them "dumb". Makes it hard to wade thru the alerts to see where someone replied to a thread I'm in, not to mention making it far less fun to post if I get inundated with negative feedback. Waste of time.
Imagine that.
So do the ratings we receive stay on our personal record?
Each member should have just one vote per post. Just my opinion.
Yeah... I abused the hell out of it yesterday, but I'm going to give the abuse a break today.

I only tossed them at Caroljo, and I've admitted since she's not dumb. Perhaps I'll go back and remove the dumbs since the labeling had no appreciable effect on her. No... Caroljo is far from dumb.Nah...

It is pretty dumb, clicking the dumb button, but labeling you dumb does seem to have had an appreciable effect, which is pretty dumb for sure.

That's all we get. One opinion per post so we have to choose which one to give.
If I get 8 "dumb" ratings on one post, it is by 8 different people.
That's just the "new" of it.
Very few posters [and of course there are always some] are obsessive enough to continuously hunt down your posts and give them a bad review.
Give the newness of it time to wear off a little.
I caught myself going overboard a little but I'm over that now. I don't actually dislike anyone here though some can annoy me at times. Meh. ... that's not worth a lot of disliking.
No...no need removing any. When I logged in today first time I felt so LOVED...I had 24 alerts and only one of them was a reply. The rest were DUMB. Complimentary to say the least considering the source.

I think you should give out rewards for the fastest draw. The person who can give the most DUMBS to one person in the shortest time. AllInVegas would have to take the top prize. One time after logging in this morning I had over 20 alerts...14 were from Vegas between 11:00 a.m. and 11:03 a.m.
The rest were on page 5. LOL
