Lying democrat leadership exposed, once again... majority of mainstream media ignores it!

Pelosi: Gruber who? Lefties: "Who us? They think we're stupid? Yeah... and?"

During the heyday of the ObamaCare push, Jonathan Gruber was whiz-kid-in-chief. His number-crunching on the benefits of the plan was frequently cited by Democrats trying to sell the proposal to the public.

Now, Washington Democrats have a new message: He’s not with us.

After a string of videos have emerged showing Gruber gloating about how the law’s authors exploited Americans’ “stupidity,” the White House has distanced itself. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi even claimed: “I don’t know who he is. He didn’t help write our bill.”

But while Jonathan Gruber might not have been a familiar name until this week for many, Pelosi and the rest of the lawmakers who pushed the law certainly knew who he was in 2009 and 2010.

A look at the record shows he was in fact paid to advise the Department of Health and Human Services. And he continues to play a role in health policy elsewhere, even as his unearthed videos cause headaches for the administration, just ahead of this weekend’s Round 2 enrollment launch.

Gruber, an MIT professor and economist, has lived amid the health care debate in Washington for at least 20 years.

Gruber was retained by the Department of Health and Human Services in 2009 on a $297,600 contract to provide “technical assistance in evaluating options for national healthcare reform.” Gruber also confirmed to The Washington Post that he was paid another $95,000 before that, for a total of nearly $400,000.

Unfortunately, Gruber and Pelosi are depending on Americans being stupid and really unfortunately, many Americans ARE stupid. Democrats believe their leaders no matter what. And that belief is there because of the "D" by their name. Then there is a whole mass of people who just don't care about how our country is run and whether anyone lies to us or not.

First of all, this guy was not part of the administration and was merely an advisor so he does not represent the administration at all. Secondly, what he said was true. Politics is the art of convincing people to believe what you want them to believe because the average person has no interest or knowledge of the details. This is exactly how Social Security got passed by the way. The Supremes called it a tax and the rest is history. I see nothing particularly interesting or new in these remarks. The people are stupid in relation to the details of policy making and the law. Just look at all the truly stupid people who voted to ban same sex marriages. I realize this gives the right wing yet another fake issue to freak out about but while you were away pounding your head against the wall in regards to benghazi, ebola, poor kids from Guatemala, ISIS, fast and furious, birthergate, Kenyan forefathers, Ayers, Alinksy, drinking more water, eating better food, golfing and the list goes on and on and on...well, while you were busy throwing tantrums, millions of us got insurance for the first time and all of us got much better coverage and terms. But don't let me keep you from your latest tantrum, you need the exercise.

and if you lie to me once,,its logical to assume you will lie again..
then its only logical to understand the truth holds nothing important to you...

The truth is now subject to Fox News and the conservative media bias that is ubiquitous because every single media outlet now fears being called liberal when they report facts that do not comport with conservative propaganda. All one has to do is look at the many videos of ignorant people from both sides of the aisle who display an astounding lack of knowledge and critical thinking skills. It is one thing when the people are this stupid but when you elect folks like Bachman, Fox, Gohmert and that other fat moron from Texas that looks like Jabba the Hut, well, it gets dangerous. I have been online arguing with conservatives for a long time. I can count the number of intelligent responses on one hand. Even the smartest of them believe in fairy tales. Let us just agree that the entirety of conservative dogma is pure malarkey but it is really, really good malarkey and it sells. It is like Taco Bell. It looks like Mexican food but it's really just fake Mexican food.

Sure you did, you just won't admit it. But if you are still harping on this thing years after it passed, nothing I say or do will get you to let that teat go. If there is one thing I have realized about conservatives it is that they are stubborn. Nothing shakes them from their fantasies but a fellow dreamer who got inspired by the latest news from Billo or Sean or Rush. So continue to think your policy is crap. If by chance you get hit by a car and lie in a coma, let us talk with your family and find out how your policy really works now.

Sorry Mister, By definition. Everyone who got coverage for the first time, got better coverage and at better terms, than they ever had before. It's a definitional thing.

On a sidenote, we've been cussin' and discussin' this one for years now. And, I have YET to see anyone posit the specifics of their own health reality, nor the cost and terms of their new policy as compared with their old one. Since then, we've got no evidence to work from, how can so many people be do convinced that Obamacare is a bad thing?

Yes you did, you just have not had to use it yet. I tell you what, drive your car into a tree without a seatbelt, spend the next year in the hospital and come back with the total due. I think you won't go bankrupt now...

uh,,,woolley,,,,

"yes you did"
did what?

"you just have not had to use it yet"
use what?

as to the rest,,,[or the above for that matter] whats that have to do with the fact that not all [all, as in all-inclusive, everyone] got better coverage and reduced premiums?...

that was your claim, that all/everyone got better cov. and reduced premiums..

even the most rabid aca supporters know better...the only person i have heard make the claim is you..

everyone did not...not even close...
