I only disabled alerts for ratings in my "Alert Preferences',not yours.
The "dumb" rating option was discontinued due to whining

i could care less if you remove one or all the ratings buttons..you should know i have never used any but like, agree, funny or informative..
its not about the stupid buttons..
you know it, i know it, and thats good enough for me..

I commented that a few folks would abuse the buttons. They did...and some still do. It was their abuse that removed the "dumb" button.
Craig has no such power.
Go to your Preferences page...and set your preferences.

The only thing that wasn't checked off was "Attaches a file to a watched thread". Everything else was checked to make sure I got the alerts. But I'm still not alerted to all. It doesn't really matter, except I know I've missed some responses to me at times.

I went back to check out what I actually said...
No whining and no request for removal and certainly no mention of me being abused, but a prediction that holds true. I am not the one being abused, the buttons are being abused. Their constant use indicates a lack of discernment on the ones pushing the button. The two names I mentioned have downrated me 7 times in this thread alone. It reflects on them, not me.
My next prediction is that this post will also receive multiple downratings...
