I say it as I see it. I have enemies on here ( if that is what they be) right, left and in between. I have no political alliance nor ideology, I like no politicians alive today.I rail against the PtB for being such evil bastards --- There is a way for them to be King of the Castle, if that is what they want, without fu'cking up everything which is decent, without killing every single man woman and child's peace and promise --- the PtB are all the same, right left and center. That said - your analogy isn't just. A better one would be that the Mafia wanted you to pay them the rent for your flat rather than the Landlord -- And you refused saying you would pay the landlord. But the landlord was too scared to take it even though, they could easily have taken it and given it to the Mafia, themselves.
