What causes you to open a post and read it?

I chose a few of them.....looks like right now I'm the only one that has admitted I will read a post because I'm bored & will read anything. Lol!

some i read because i know theyre placed there to draw a fight.
some i read because i notice who last responded...and i know they're there picking a fight
some, because the poster is very bright, and i lke their posts.. but there are not many of those..

Sometimes I like, sometimes I dislike the top poster.... depends on my mood, I guess. Most often I read it when the topic seems interesting, or the title draws me. I like short and sweet.... long posts tend to make me read the first sentence and then, at best, skim over the rest. Often I just drop it like a hot potato... LOL

If it's just a link............I don't bother.
If it's very long.........I don't bother (and I know which posters tend to do that).
Other than that I'll give it a shot if the title looks interesting.

Some posters posts are never good. I don't open them unless I am bored out of my mind and that's all that's left.

I just read what I like if a topic draws my attention (title) and the topic itself seems interesting (always depends on the mood). I don't mind who posts the OP if it hits those two criteria (really shouldn't matter).

It matters to me. Sometimes. If I know someone's style is to pervert the truth and their subject line is something I'm interested in........... I'll still not open it. I'm rarely in a mood to read known lies.

I like the disagreement.. but folk can disagree and not be a name calling ahole...know what I mean.

I also like the poster that can insult and the other doesn't have,a clue they're being insulted. Very few,have that down. But fun to read

Takes sooooo much energy to veil the insults, Phil.

But I'm so good at it that I expect you've missed at least some of mine.:oops:
